How do writers ever reach an end to their stories? I know how is the beginning ,the middle and even the end,but between the middle and the end theres a broken bridge that I can never wade. Then there's fog and I'm lost. Then I lose interest. Then I think that why should I wade. Might as well just drop a piece of paper with a half developed grambled scribble into the water below and be done with it. What does it matter when even I myself am mostly indolent about getting through towards silence after all.
It has taken me like 2.5 years to finish the Embassy Row series and I still have three chapters left. Writing is endurance predation
