Do Americans like, understand the STRONG Canadian sentiment against them right now? And the why behind it?

Hint: we’re not booing your anthem because of tariff threats. We’re booing it because of your threats to our national sovereignty.

I feel like Americans do not get how seriously Canada is taking this. Trump’s comments are not jokes to us, like at all. We’re more united as a country than we have been in years, and it’s against America. We’re boycotting American goods en masse. Many of us, myself included, have cancelled trips to America. Many Canadians anticipate a possible INVASION. Do you know how insane that is considering our history of allyship???

We LOATHE your president and are affected by his tomfoolery, but unlike you, we don’t have state reps to call!!!!!! We have no voice!!!!! And honestly, we’re PISSED at the Americans who voted for pumpkin pissoff, and also angry at the lack of action against him. We see y’all declining into fascism, and we are VERY nervous knowing that you will very much drag us down with you.

Read Canadian news, care, stay informed, buy Canadian products, contact your reps, come (respectfully) visit Canada, protest, boycott. Because, even if you didn’t vote for him, just saying “oh sorry, we love Canada!” Is NOT enough.

Hi all! I know it's been a while since I've been on here. I've been busy writing away. So without further ado, here's a sneak peek of my latest fic, coming to a blog near you!

SHE'S BACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

write weird shit. Write indulgent au fanfiction and self insert fics. Write creepy horror scenes and random character crossover dialogue. Write in a different genre. Write that sex scene that you know won’t make the cut. Write about sentient furniture turning into werewolves that try to date your MC. Write whump or hero/villain fic. Write your kink. Write your worst nightmare. Write your delusions of power and fantasies of control. Write whatever the fuck you feel like. Write whatever comes to mind. You don’t have to share it with anyone (but you can). Your writing impulses don’t define your morality anymore than your reading preferences, and actually going outside your comfort zone will improve your writing skills (making a horrifying villain sympathetic requires good characterization). Even if it doesn’t improve your skills, that’s still something you created out of nothing. It’s still valuable. Don’t let purity culture kill your creativity. That’s how culture stagnates. That’s how writing stops being fun.

Tell the universe your truth.

...That's it. Just do that. That's the thing it wants most to hear from you.

I'm not going to pretend that everything will get better for you when you do that. There are no guarantees. But you will have done an important thing: maybe the most important thing.

And you'll also have done what gods do: you'll have made something out of nothing. ...Which is fun. :)

Feeling kinda moodboard-y, any ideas on themes?

I was thinking about the Daggers and associated people iconic movie characters (think Han Solo, Eliza Doolittle, that kind of thing), but I have no idea who would be who unfortunately.

The other option is I open up my inbox for suggestions and I work on them as I get them.

Rory was both intrigued and cautious when you approached her with your plan later that day. The piece about someone calling in and reporting a false fire had caught her attention and she agreed to write something up and send it to you before it went to her boss. You had been surprised by her willingness to help, the way she offered her help before you had even explained the situation. Sat in your office, you and her outline her future piece, spending close to two hours together after Maverick had approved of the idea, before she left with a promise to send you a draft by that evening.

It had gone far better than you had expected and when you left your office around three that afternoon, you found yourself scanning the JOC for your partner, hating how wrong you had been. You had screamed at Bradley, forcing you both into yet another awkward conversation about words that were said, but this time it was well and truly your fault.

I beta-read this, and SHITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT it hurts STILL seeing it posted cause this one hurt.. even over the discord call when you told me what you were planning a YEAR ago...
