The skittles dealing with a possessed Barty and having to preform an exorcism on him is just normal Saturday night activities

James and Regulus are sitting in the come and go room chatting and doing homework when James gets into this long story about the latest prank the marauders pulled. James is VERY expressive when he tells stories, Regulus loves that about him, and James knows this so he makes sure to add voices and reenactments of what happened for Reggie to enjoy. “And you won’t believe what Snivillus said!” James throws his arms up in mock hurt, causing Reggie to flinch and back away a bit. James immediately puts his hands down. “Reggie, are you ok? Did you think I was going to hit you?” There is no sign of hurt on his face, only worry. Regulus feels guilt wash over him, he doesn’t ever want to worry James, especially over silly things. “You know I will never touch you in a way to hurt you, you’re the most important person in the world to me.” James offers his embrace, Reg immediately takes the other and hugs him. “I’m sorry, Jamie. It’s not you, I know you would never hurt me. I just…. She….” Regulus was at a loss for words. “You don’t have to explain why, my star. You can tell me one you’re ready, I will always be here.” James kisses the top of Reggie’s head before laying down in the bed the come and go room provided.

That night Regulus went to bed feeling loved and appreciated, he went to bed next to the person he knew was the one he’d always love. And James fell asleep with the determination to keep this beautiful boy safe, his star.
