I am in a predominantly anti-ship fandom. Whatever, I keep my head down.
But something I find really frustrating is this: I personally am unbothered/ scroll on past sexual stuff I don't like, but am very effected by gore, horror, excessive violence etc. I have no major trauma, I am not a minor, and even if I did have an 'excuse' I don't think I should have to have some kind of reason to ask people to tag gory stuff. But so many just don't, or say they do but forget half the time.
Thing is, it's the antis that don't tag it, share it untagged to their sfw blogs, post about characters being suicidal or very violent in their AUs etc. There's always about 10 different vampire AUs with excessive blood-eating and rarely tagged (sometimes with #bl00d, which is just great) - and a lot of them are specifically and militantly anti-proship. Now, since I purged all 'proship dni's from my follow list, I don't see untagged anything unless I go into the character tags.
The source material is happy little animal heroes saving the day, no blood and only cartoon-ish violence, basically immortal characters - so it's not a case of getting out of the kitchen if you don't like heat. Yes, it is probably the one you think.
So, even if I thought fiction was some kind of moral litmus test and that the proshippers sexualising the characters were doing something wrong - my peace and mental wellbeing are still better protected by being around proshippers rather than antis.
