wow.
suffering from loss. surrounded by grief. displaced from homes and living in tents when they were once in homes with food and beds. minds full of turmoil from the horrors that never seem to end.
and yet, while living through all of the above, over 500 Palestinian children were able to memorize the Quran by heart this Ramadan.
what else can we be but ashamed and in awe? what’s our excuse for not doing the same while we have shelter and food and safety?
i have no clue.
may Allah protect them all and grant them safety and peace and the highest levels of Jannah. and may He forgive us and guide those of us for struggling to do the same, ameen.
this dunya will break you repeatedly to the point where trusting His plan is the only way you can find peace.
He is the only One who will never abandon you. the One who will never shame you for your mistakes. the One and the only One who will keep forgiving you, over and over, even after you keep sinning, even after you keep making the same mistake - so long as you go back to Him and repent.
what more do we need? what more could we want than a Creator who is always with you? always there for you? who makes things forbidden for you because they’ll break your heart? whose names include the All-Loving, the All-Forgiving, and the Most Merciful?
we couldn’t need anything more. because if you have Him, you have everything.
alhamdulillah. ❤️🩹
after 14 hours of fasting, a family in Gaza break their fast with cooked grass and some lemons.
they’ve resorted to eating grass.
just like they’ve resorted to making bread out of animal feed.
grass and animal feed, two things that are fed to animals. and Palestinians are now eating them almost as if they’re not human beings.
because if they don’t eat grass or animal feed, they won’t be human anymore. they’ll be dead. from starvation if not by bombs.
because they aren’t considered humans, right? at least not in the eyes of Westerners, because for them Palestinians’ dignity and lives and basic needs aren’t important because they’re not white in color.
be thankful you have food in your stomach and aren’t out there scavenging for grass and animal feed.
May God grant them all the highest levels of Paradise, and may He make it easy for them. and may God forgive us for all the times we’ve taken food and clean water for granted.
In a palestinian’s words, ‘‘These are our choices: If we aren’t killed, we will die of hunger.’’
How can you be displeased when He takes from you what belongs to Him, when He was the One that blessed you?
How can you be displeased when you have a roof over your head and a bed to sleep in and food to put in your mouth?
How can you be displeased when there are people right now, this second, suffering in Palestine and still thanking their Lord for their blessings?
If you wanted to, you could find the positive in everything. If you tried, you would find out that you have countless of things to be grateful for. if people who are being mutated and who are having everyone they’ve ever known either dead and injured and can still be grateful, surely you can do the same.
say alhamdulillah for the things you have before Allah takes them away from you- or even worse, you’re held accountable for them on the Day of Judgement.
“If you tried to count Allah’s blessings, you would never be able to number them. Surely Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (16:18)
"Why isn't Allah answering our duas?" "Why isn't Palestine free yet?"
We forget so often that when Allah delays a dua, it means he's preparing something so much better.
How many times has the worldly justice system failed us? That's why Allah is Al-Muqsit, The One who is most fair and just. Allah will serve justice to those who had no justice served in this life. These oppressors think they're getting away with it "until a Day when their eyes will stare in horror." [14:42]
Israel may have all these leaders, wealth, and weapons but what they don't have is Allah. Imagine thinking you can overpower the creator of the Heavens and the Earth. Imagine thinking you can oppress 2 billion Muslims who have Allah on their side without any consequences. Imagine thinking you can get away with even an atom's weight of evil.
