Gallavich post canon vibes

They’ve saved up money from their business, bought a shitty house near the south side, renovated it, and make their life perfect <3

- - - - - - - - -

They’ve got a dog and a stray cat that Mickey refuses to admit he feeds on the reg (he’s totally named it)

Ian jogs every morning before work. Mickey makes their coffee and breakfast.

They make good money with their delivery service. Every day is like a dream come true for them both. Mickey finally feels safe and secure for the first time since he can remember. He hardly ever has nightmares. He is a husband.

Ian is the happiest he’s ever been, married to Mickey with a stable job, a house that’s their own, with nieces and nephews crawling underfoot.

Some days are hard, work can be exhausting and stressful especially during peak party season. Ian has his ups and downs, but Mickey is right there by his side, and he knows they will be alright.

Mickey struggles adjusting to a calmer lifestyle, and sometimes the anxiety can manifest as aggression. Ian takes him to an abandoned warehouse, and they shoot at broken bottles til he feels better again.

They fuck a lot. Like a lot a lot. If Mickey could get pregnant, they’d have like fifteen kids by now.

Maybe one day. They’re not entirely sure about that yet.

For now, they’re just happy saving money to renovate their home, taking care of each other, loving each other, spending every minute of every day together.

As husbands, homeowners, business partners, and soulmates.

<3

For anybody who needs to hear it: You do not need to ask people permission to reblog their posts.

If somebody doesn't want a post reblogged, all they have to do is turn off reblogs under post settings.

You are supposed to reblog stuff here. That's how this site works. This whole idea that you should ask permission to reblog is completely antithetical to Tumblr's function style.

On a related note, if you don’t want your post reblogged, deleting your post does NOT stop reblogs. People can still reblog after you delete. If there’s drama and you’re getting dumb bullshit in your inbox, it will continue. Once you release a post into the wild, only turning off reblogs stops reblogs.

Just finished reading β€˜Ian Gallagher And All Of His Mistakes’ by toraten. What a read! Thank you to @gallavichsuperfan for reccing this to me! πŸ’– This was such an excellent read with amazing characterisations. If you haven’t read this, please do go and check it out now! It is a WIP but it doesn’t end on a cliffhanger. It’s an alternative take on how Ian and Mickey could have met and fall in love. It’s sweet and hot and funny and messy and it really captures the Shameless vibes. Toraten is a really talented writer and this is a brilliant story!

✨ happy birthday j πŸ’™πŸ©΅ your personal weighted blanket art makes me so happy and giggly and i love it so much. so please have this lil 500 word drabble about it hehe @heymrspatel ✨

Mickey’s not sure if Heaven with a capital H is a real place. But if it is, it’s gotta be like this - in bed, good and snug beneath his personal weighted blanket of a husband.

Ian wore himself out being a goofball at the Shedd Aquarium today. Which means now, in the wee hours, he’s fast asleep, all three thousand pounds of beefy husband keeping Mickey anchored to the bed exactly how he likes it.Β

Anonymous asked:

do Ian and Mickey have a dedicated chores in their west side place?

Ooooh...

I don't think either of them are organised enough to, like, sit down and spell out their individual responsibilities. Ian maybe tried one time, but it quickly devolved into bickering and then they got distracted.

Ian definitely takes charge on making sure the place stays clean. It's not that Mickey likes mess and dirt, it's just that it takes him longer to notice it, because the Milkovich house was always worse. And Mickey low-key thinks dusting is optional. Ian had more chore responsibilities growing up, so he's used to noticing when things need doing, but he also doesn't want to do it all, so he nudges, cajoles, and, yes, bribes his husband to do his share until Mickey starts getting used to it.

Mickey's better at the day to day stuff. Dishes, and cleaning the counters in the kitchen. Sweeping up daily mess. Ian makes him hoover sometimes, but he hates doing it because it's loud and takes a lot of effort and it only takes one slice of toast or packet of chips for all the work to be undone.

Ian is better at the things that get grimy after a week or two but don't look instantly filthy, so he ends up cleaning the bathroom more. And if anyone's cleaning above eye height or behind/under something that doesn't otherwise move? It's gonna be Ian.

They share the laundry. Mickey is mostly fine, but every so often the smell of detergent makes him think of prison so Ian has to take over for a couple of weeks.
