so we’ve just resurrected Dire wolves apparently?
Top ten existential fears
Would you prefer to live in detroit with french people or live on paris with people from detroit
What do you think Ostritch tastes like and how would you want it cooked
Fears (idk if I've got 10 tbh):
- I'll never quite manage to become more than my anxiety
- I'll be too scared to medically transition (mostly cause of politics rn tbh)
- Will I be remembered when I die? I'd like to think so given all of the written work I've done(including one published thing and hopefully more to come)
- I'll never quite figure out this socializing thing(neurodivergence yippee!!)
- Reality is not locally real, things stop existing when out of sight and mind. This is just sorta a nagging yikes in my mind.
I would 100% prefer Paris with people from Detroit, it just seems like a much more reasonable choice. plus, there's really good fishing in France.
I image it'd taste like chicken but sweaty tbh. No, I will not be elaborating on that. If you're cooking Ostritch and you don't do drumsticks and wings idek what you're thinking.
Messaging people for the first time is so hard. What am I supposed to say? Like, "You seem really odd and your blog intrigues me. Do you want to have philosophical conversations or perhaps talk about fictional characters?" What! Whatever. I will just follow you back and stare at your blog with my big beautiful brown eyes.
Reblog if you're okay with people coming into your DMs with the "you seem really odd and your blog intrigues me, do you want to have philosophical conversations or perhaps talk about fictional characters"
Your boyfriend is so large he's more like a ecosystem now. There's types of finches that only live on him. His bones have turned to powder and gravity has pressed him into sort of a county-sized flesh cape and nobody can really find where his brain is anymore, but he seems happy as a clam. There are parts of him where clams live and you can fish for them.
Stray Signals and Whispering Gods
A bit more about SLN before I go back to the regions of their campaign/Can
In no particular order:
- They’re a bit of a control freak and generally try to “protect” the local group by delaying or outright blocking messages they feel might be received poorly. Consequently the local group hasn’t learned about pebbles and his rot yet.
- An earlier gen iterator, they’re more machine than biology and also have a much more diffuse/decentralized consciousness than new gens. Essentially their puppet is really not that important to them compared to others.
- They personally knew Sliver of Straw and was a prominent Sliverist for a time after her passing(specifically an advocate for triangulation).
- They often vent waste electricity in addition to their rains, this is a product of being specialized to send and receive signals on a global scale(though most other Iterators specialized for this have become damaged). Their puppet often has sparks of purple lightning coiling about their antenna.
- Suspects Peerless Architecture of doing something heinous and has been poking around her can with observers far more as of late.
- They have a series of instruments meant to detect any irregularities in the flow of karma and the cycles, these have been returning some truly bizarre readings as of late.
- Has one optical sensor that glitches intermittently.
- They have had a lot of tension with their local group(both in the past and now) but is the senior of the group and truly does feel obligated to do right by them.
- Dislikes making purposed organisms for the most part but they are able and willing to modify their neurons into some very odd forms(including “neurophages” which patrol the wall and keep sensitive instruments free of flora and fauna.
- Has one of Slivers observers that was with them at the time of her death. This is their most prized possession and they will NEVER send it out of their Can.
- The surface around their can is unusually desolate due to the violence of their electrical output, but beneath the ground is an ecosystem like no other.
- They like gossiping and watercolor painting. They’ve also got an appreciation for stained glass murals but no real way to make them.
- Theyre one of the first Iterators in their local group to collapse, simply due to age and lack of repair capability. That said, they actually survive significantly longer than many others by partially offloading their mind into the global coms network(they begin to fragment as it collapses, with something like multiple personalities developing across the different sections of their superstructure and other locations where they are storing their mind.)
HAII!!!! SURPRISE HEADCANON INSPECTION
PICK AT LEAST 3 OF YOUR FANDOMS AND GIVE ONE HEADCANON FROM EACH THE NICHE/WEIRDER THE BETTER!!!!!!
Chainsmoker hornet doesn’t count.
(Turning this in as the latest HW ever 💀)
Hollow Knight:
The Moth tribe invented picked foods in Hallownest, it’s just a flavor they prefer(salty yum…) but it’s become sort of a touchy topic for nobles in the city, who both find the flavors exotics and also a very racist and dislike moths and their “savage” customs.
Bloodborne:
Gerhman, joyless old bastard he is, loves cinnamon and licorice jellybeans. Should you, the Good Hunter, ask kindly for beans from your mentor, you’ll wish you’d downed a vial of cold blood instead
Percy Jackson:
One of Sally’s parents wasn’t human, they both just up and died in a plan crash, which is either terrible luck or has Zues written all over it, especially given how he threatens to blow Percy up if her flies(because son of Poseidon). Basically I think one of her parents may have been a nymp or some other water spirit. And not necessarily a Greek one, given Percy can host Nekhbet( an Egyptian goddess). It also might explain some of Percy’s BS powers he picks up randomly
@clever-naming-convention, so sorry for taking forever to do this one. It’s been burning a hole in my mental pocket for a bit.
Signals & Structures( part 1)
So idk if anyone remembers my post from ages ago(before I died/went on hiatus) about my OC Iterators but, given Watcher has dropped, I figured I’d do some worldbuilding and spec bio about Signals Lost in the Night, who I suggested had some connection to the Watcher. This post is the first three areas of this iterator, starting further from their can and moving in.
Watcher spoilers below? Nothing direct at all but I did take some inspiration from it, so proceed carefully.
