Urgent treatment appeal please stop

My sister suffers from advanced fibropulmonary disease, which makes breathing difficult without an oxygen device in light of the lack of electricity and equipment, which makes her suffer from the scourges...

Since her displacement, she left the oxygen machine in her home in the north, and since that day her eyes have not been able to sleep because of the pain she suffers from this dreaded disease.

The least this disease causes

It makes shortness of breath and suffocation ...

I have attached a copy of the report for you. Medical treatment that explains my sister’s condition and suffering

The suffering of living in a tent in the absence of all necessities of life has an impact and other aspects ....

I am attaching a picture of Mesa's children for you

They collect firewood

Firewood is used instead of gas

To cook food through it

Please do not pass the post on without circulating it

UPDATE 07/16

I added an update to this post and the GoFundMe yesterday, but I have another one to add. It’s good news this time! I have finally secured a reliable means of transferring money to Mahmoud via Western Union and was able to send him a test amount of $50.

We deeply appreciate everyone’s generosity; since yesterday the campaign has raised over $300!

Please keep sharing, it’s a long way yet to go and every dollar counts

please keep continuing to donate! this family really needs the help!! i've verified them myself so please keep sharing and donating!

UPDATE 07/17

$1,340/$60,000

Thank you all so much for your generosity! Please keep circulating this post and donate whatever you can. I have just posted another update to the campaign detailing the ins and outs of future transfers to Mahmoud, but the most important thing is that we share this post!

UPDATE 07/27

$2,307/$60,000

PLEASE KEEP SHARING AND DONATING! Mahmoud is still looking for another third party to collect the next transfer, which will be $2,000 from the campaign and some additional funds from myself to support Mahmoud's own living expenses. If this can please get more traction in the meantime, then I can send more (we're keeping transfers in whole number quantities just to make it easiest for the third party recipient.)

UPDATE 08/06

$6,720/$60,000

After the racist smear campaign by @writing-prompt-s dragging Ahmed (90-ghost) and Mahmoud through the mud, Maysaa's campaign received over $2k in donations in 24 hours! I won't paint this horrific bigotry as a positive, because it wasn't, and isn't. The fact people are willing to let nobody gimmick blogs with the equivalent charisma and creativity as a pile of shit dictate who is and is not enduring literal fucking genocide has really just proven how precarious their whole charade is with a moral fiber as thick as a single piece of hair. (That said, I am EXTREMELY grateful for everyone's resulting support. Someone donated $1k last night and I couldn't believe I was actually reading that many zeros.)

I pray Mahmoud's appeals do not lose momentum, and if you would all like to see exactly what is what writing-prompt-s said and did, please enjoy the full post here. They've since deleted it and are taking no responsibility for what they've done, but versions without @heritageposts and my additions are still circulating and relegating living, breathing, bleeding refugees to no more than "scammers."

I have also started another "extremely discounted crochet pattern in exchange for donations" initiative, which you can get in on here, if you're inclined to that craft.

The US is so fucked lmfao I hope it reach the point where they couldn't afford to procure the raw materials to make the bombs that kill Palestinians and everyone else.

This is the perfect time to intensify our BDS efforts.

Today, I survived death once again…

I had only gone out to bring some food for my family, when a missile struck near a charity kitchen. In just a second, I could have been another name on the list of martyrs. We live in tents. No safety, no enough food, no clean water. We die on the way to find a meal… and we die if we go without it.

The entitlement of US Vietnam vets is so fucking wild because, like, on top of everything else they lost the war! These people will stand tall and demand you recognize the “sacrifices” they made for your “freedom,” as though they didn’t suffer a humiliating military defeat. Talk about participation trophies!

The nature of service work in the US is that someone will frequently walk up to you and say “Hello, I shot every Vietnamese child I could see and still lost the war. Please give me everything for free now? 🥺” and if you do the decent thing and tell them to kill themselves you get fired

Taleb al-Majli effortlessly recites his detainee identification number from Iraq’s infamous Abu Ghraib prison, where he was held more than 20 years ago—the numbers forever etched into his memory.

“Every day I still think about what happened to me,” explains the 58-year-old, who says American soldiers tortured and humiliated him in the prison. He is sitting on the hard floor of a small, mostly unfurnished, apartment he rents in Baghdad. “It lives inside me and never leaves me alone. I cannot begin to heal until I get justice for what they did to me.”

The torture and abuse of detainees by United States soldiers in Abu Ghraib made headlines and was broadcast from newsrooms around the world when photographs were released in April 2004 showing a hooded man standing on a box with electrical wires attached to his fingers, along with men stripped naked, leashed like dogs, or forced into sexual positions while US soldiers gleefully posed beside them. Majli tells The Real News Network that he appears in one of these images, in which naked detainees with bags over their heads are piled on top of each other in a disturbing human pyramid. Two American soldiers—Sabrina Harman and Charles Graner—are smiling and giving a thumbs up.

“The only thing I could think about at that moment was that I wish I had died before experiencing this,” Majli says, fiddling with his thumbs. “They stole my humanity from me. I still haven’t been able to process what happened to me there.”

last week two ambulances, a fire truck, a UN vehicle and around 16 rescue workers were dispatched to save people crushed under the rubble after a bombing in rafah (do you remember rafah? one of biden's red lines.) they disappeared, and due to israeli tanks nobody could enter the area and nobody knew what had happened to them.

a few days ago after the tanks left the vehicles were discovered crushed and buried under the sand, and one rescue worker's body was recovered. israel admitted to targeting them. and then yesterday the rest of the workers' bodies were recovered in a mass grave. one of the corpses had wire around one foot, indicating torture and interrogation, several handcuffed, all of them buried in their clearly marked uniforms and gloves.

cnn reported this story alongside like five other incidents of israel targeting humanitarian workers this past week to little outrage because the workers killed were palestinian and not international, and because israel has been regularly killing humanitarian workers.

but for the PRCS (the palestinian red crescent society), the same organization that hind rajab called desperately from her car around this time last year, one of the few that struggled to save lives throughout the war even when it got their workers killed by israeli forces, these are fathers, sons and loved ones who spent a genocide digging people out of rubble with no equipment and trying to save lives:

all of them were buried in a careless mass grave of rescue workers, found after a week of pleading from their loved ones and radio silence from their murderers and those who enable them.

Gaza without bread .. The sector's bakeries were closed all of the day .. The remaining flour is not enough for more than a week, and the sack of flour if its price is exceeded 60 dollars ..

I swear to you that Gaza is hungry, and the remaining food stocks are not enough for the maximum of more than ten days and will completely end .. What do you expect after that from a people who kill around the clock and now hunger?! God does not forgive those who brought us here, God does not forgive those who have the ability to stop this genocide and did not.

“I’ve really tried to understand the Israelis. I used to work on a farm in Israel. I speak Hebrew. I watch their news. All the time they talk about fear. How they have to run to their bunkers to hide from the rockets. How their children can’t sleep because of the sirens. This is not a good way for them to live. We Palestinians don’t talk about fear, we talk about death. Our rockets scare them; their rockets kill us. We have no bomb shelters, we have no sirens, we have nowhere we can take our children and keep them safe. They are scared. We are dying.”

The goal was to terrorize Yemen into ending the blockade and attacks against Israel. As a response to Israel's invasion and occupation of the Gaza Strip, the Houthis have been blocking ships bound for Israel from travelling along the Yemeni coast, as well as sending missiles and drones towards Israel proper, drawing the ire of Israel's Western allies.

Still frame from WikiLeaks "Collateral Murder" video, captured moments before U.S. helicopter pilots would go on to kill civilians and journalists in Iraq in 2007 while casually joking about it. Whistleblower Chelsea Manning was sentenced to 35 years in prison, none of the perpetrators were charged

I am once more appealing for my friend Ayah! She has tried to keep a brave face this Eid and has bought new clothes for her small children to bring them joy, but in reality, she is wracked with anxiety over the future. The fundraiser that they are relying on is not getting any donations. The situation is incredibly dire.

Since their old fundraiser was shut down, their new fundraiser has only raised €3,219 out of their goal €50,000 in 4 months of campaigning. This is not nearly enough for anyone to live off of, let alone a whole family living through a genocide where the cost of living is skyrocketing due to the scarcity of food, medicine, and supplies.

Please let's make a difference for them this Eid. If you can donate and give hope back to their family, please do so. And keep sharing the fundraiser. Follow Ayah here @ayo0osh

(Quds) “Israel attempted to kill American doctors after CNN interview.”

Hours after a CNN interview, where they spoke about the Israeli genocide and denounced the complicity of the US and European countries, Israel attempted to kill two American volunteer doctors when airstrikes deliberately targeted Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis last Sunday.

This is entirely indistinguishable from Biden’s State Dept press briefings on Gaza, btw.

The logic of domestic abuse—“I beat my wife because she deserves it”—extrapolated to the sphere of geopolitics and genocide.

““When I was about 20 years old, I met an old pastor’s wife who told me that when she was young and had her first child, she didn’t believe in striking children, although spanking kids with a switch pulled from a tree was standard punishment at the time. But one day, when her son was four or five, he did something that she felt warranted a spanking–the first in his life. She told him that he would have to go outside himself and find a switch for her to hit him with. The boy was gone a long time. And when he came back in, he was crying. He said to her, “Mama, I couldn’t find a switch, but here’s a rock that you can throw at me.” All of a sudden the mother understood how the situation felt from the child’s point of view: that if my mother wants to hurt me, then it makes no difference what she does it with; she might as well do it with a stone. And the mother took the boy into her lap and they both cried. Then she laid the rock on a shelf in the kitchen to remind herself forever: never violence. And that is something I think everyone should keep in mind. Because if violence begins in the nursery one can raise children into violence.””
