Hello, hello! Welcome to the official Chumblr account for Ammo Knights, the number one weapon shop in Inkopolis and Splatsville! (RP blog by @stormbix-draws-pictures)

Hello, hello! If you're looking for updates about our weapon selection, tips to help you dominate the Turf War scene with the mains and kits you have, or just to read a mile-long text wall from Sheldon, you've come to the right place!

Since Sheldon himself is often busy running the shop in our Splatsville location (right on Anarchy Avenue, next door to the Turf War lobby), this account is primarily run by repair-squid-turned-social-media-manager Nautalie (she/they), AKA me :P

"I was wonderin'. What kinda weapons are there for sanitized? I mean- I doubt we're very turf legal considering sanitized ink barely counts as ink in terms of chemical makeup (according to Marina) but... Still, might be nice to have some self defense around." - @achtm1zuta

You can use any weapon you'd be able to if you weren't sanitized! Although sanitized and/or blended ink isn't safe for Turf War, it can still be put into an ink tank and fired from a weapon just like any other kind of ink! And if you're thinking of inking with other Inklings and Octolings, we have plenty of options for cephalopod-safe ink substitutes!

If I took a drink for every time I said "ink", I think I'd be on the brink of getting sick... sink? Anyway, I hope this helps!

Hey, Marinara! It's me again! :D I've always wondered, how do inklings and octolings deal with rain and drinking water n stuff? Like, don't you guys dissolve when you touch water or is that cool theory about you guys changing between being isotonic and hypertonic true?

Why would drinking water melt us? dont humans drown as well yet also drink water?

Fun fact: Inklings and Octolings, like all other animals, have certain ranges of how much water they need and can take in order to survive! Too much hydration can get anyone into a hypotonic state and cause cell damage! That's why the body has its ways of keeping that from happening.

However, in the case of Inkfish, the permeability of their skin makes them much more susceptible to osmotic pressure! Although this allows them to reuse ink and consume fewer resources, it also means being submerged in water can be lethal.

Some water is fine, though! I wouldn't recommend standing out in heavy rain for too long, but showers and drinking water are completely safe for an Inkling or Octoling!

Sheldon's too busy fixing up the Splatsville store to say this himself, but mother of pearl, please cut it out with the watermelons. It's not funny. I already have a splitting headache as-is WITHOUT being under attack! For safety reasons, we're closing all of our locations until everybody stops throwing fruit around. No weapons until the melons are gone.

call me a conspiracy theorist but I am very sure that Sheldon/Ammo Knights is a major donor to the Turf War League

think about it, the only weapons you see in turf war and anarchy is weapons that can only be bought from Ammo Knights, kinda sus

AND those weapons are also the only legal weapons too, you can't use the same main weapon and have a different sub and special than what you bought it with

idk what Sheldon has to gain from this but it is massively suspicious

(and no, I am not salty that I got banned from participating in any League mode because I used a Douser Dualies with Fizzy Bombs and Crab Tank instead of the usual Burst Bombs and Tri Inkstrike)

Hello, hello! Sheldon here! Allow me to clear things up: there's no conspiracy about me secretly funding the Turf War Association or anything along those lines; I openly work as one of the chairmen, actually! The reason we regulate weapon kits the way we do is to encourage players to try out a variety of weapons. If the TWA allowed for unrestricted subs and specials, someone would eventually find a combination that is objectively the most powerful, which would severely bottleneck team compositions and strategies!

As for why all the Turf-regulated weapons seem to come out of Ammo Knights, it's actually pretty simple: we always put our locations where it's the most convenient for our customers. Wherever there's a major Turf War lobby, you can rest assured there's an Ammo Knights to provide you with your weapon-related needs! Also, since I work directly in the TWA, we're almost always the first distributor to know when a weapon and its kit gets the Turf War Association's seal of approval! Technically speaking, the only weapons that are exclusively sold here at Ammo Knights are the ones that I've designed myself (and the replicas produced by Cuttlegear). It just so happens that we're the best distributor around!

I hope this helps!

i may be working my tentacles off with the pre-big run rush and basically babysitting both donny and a best friend going through a mental health crisis while i fear for his safety and i have to be the well-adjusted one around here and getting so worked up with all the responsibilities while society's slowly crumbling because of war and capitalism but we! 👏 stay! 👏 silly! 👏

Hey! Uh… sorry for bothering you… I was just curious if you guys sell like? Weapon parts? Or do I have to buy the whole weapon and take it part myself?

No need to apologize; being bothered is my job! Yeah, we sell parts. What do you need?

Oh goodness… I didn’t think I’d make it this far… uh… okay, so I’m trying to make a new type of charger. I’m thinking of modding a splat charger with a larger barrel? So it can hold more ink?

Cool, like an E-liter kinda hold or a Goo Tuber kinda hold?

While an e-liter hold would be sick, I’m not too sure what I would do to the weapon’s weight. So I might go with something more like a goo tubers hold?

Hmm. Good tubers can keep a charge under ink as well. So a Frankensteined Goo tuber and splat charger could be scary.

Goo Tuber does have crazy good storage. Just gotta find a way to work around the slow charge time and the short range that comes with it... Maybe if the coils in the tubing were smaller?

Wonder how something like this would work in practice.
