To be honest I don't know if fundraising is enough at this point but it's the only thing I can do??

Everyone who cares by now already knows things are dire in Gaza. Several weeks blockade followed by bombardment is some sicko sh-t. Things are really expensive and there's just not enough STUFF to go around. Nevertheless, I'm trying to help Hamada and his family raise money for a tent. The latest strikes made impact near their previous shelters and they are injured and internally displaced in Khan Younis. If I keep writing people are just more likely to scroll past so here's the campaign

I think people might have been passing over this campaign because it's not vetted. I had submitted a request to @gazavetters for him but seeing as how all of Gaza is under assault and the team behind gazavetters are in North Gaza, I don't think they will be able to get to his campaign soon. And I'm not Palestinian nor do I speak Arabic so I can't give you a 100% guarantee in vetting but I will say that I've been chatting with Hamada and his brother on Whatsapp, they have +970 country code numbers, and the IBAN given to me resolves to a bank of Palestine account. If anyone knows anyone willing and able to vouch, please get in touch.

The monsters assassinated him the exact same way they assassinated numerous journalists in Gaza in recent months. They are hunting down journalists and bombing their vehicles. Monsters.

Hossam's team shared his final message:

“If you’re reading this, it means I have been killed—most likely targeted—by the Israeli occupation forces. When this all began, I was only 21 years old—a college student with dreams like anyone else. For past 18 months, I have dedicated every moment of my life to my people. I documented the horrors in northern Gaza minute by minute, determined to show the world the truth they tried to bury. I slept on pavements, in schools, in tents—anywhere I could. Each day was a battle for survival. I endured hunger for months, yet I never left my people’s side.

By God, I fulfilled my duty as a journalist. I risked everything to report the truth, and now, I am finally at rest—something I haven’t known in the past 18 months . I did all this because I believe in the Palestinian cause. I believe this land is ours, and it has been the highest honor of my life to die defending it and serving its people.

I ask you now: do not stop speaking about Gaza. Do not let the world look away. Keep fighting, keep telling our stories—until Palestine is free.”

The Occupation has systematically destroyed every social infrastructure that makes civil society possible, whether it be healthcare, food systems, or education. They've targeted schools, hospitals, businesses, and every person who supports their community through their profession.

Rana and Ahmed (@ranafam2) are educators from Khan Younis, with Rana as a statistics professor at the Islamic University of Gaza and Ahmed as the principal of his school: both institutions have now been destroyed.

Palestinians have survived occupation for well over a century now, and they will remain steadfast, but they need your support.

Even with the ceasefire, resources are still limited and expensive. The weekly allowance for basic provisions like baby formula and flour is about $1000. Rana is also anticipating additional costs for baby formula, clothes, and natal care as she's eight months pregnant and expecting soon.

Finally with the ceasefire, Rana is hoping to evacuate with her family altogether. The cost of evacuation per person ranges from $5000 to $7000. If Rana gives birth before she can evacuate, that puts the total anticipated cost at $49,000 (5 children, 2 adults).

I hope you don't; for me this is our reality. Every day we lose someone we love 💔😔

Last year I lost my uncle and his entire family in a missile attack on his displacement site in Rafah, and Al Jazeera YouTube reported.

Today, I am in pain as I miss the dearest to my heart, my father, who suffered from a stroke that caused him quadriplegia. He could not cope with the catastrophic life as we lived in a tent that was like a grave. His weak body was exposed to malnutrition as a result of not providing the necessary food for his condition, and the severe cold caused him to have a heart attack that led to his immediate death.

I wake up terrified every night. I check on my family, whom I fear will die of cold 🥶😰

And it was not limited to this, but our tent that shelters my family, children, and my brother Samer, who suffers from a chronic illness, was flooded and swept away under the dirt as a result of the heavy rains. Our tent has become worn out and does not protect us from the winds and rain ⛈️⛺
