Don't ever let anybody talk you out of writing or pursuing your passions. Every time you write, you're improving your craft. Every time you read, you're also improving your knowledge of the craft you love. Keep at it, give yourself and your art some grace, and some room to breathe. The only person who can ever stop you from writing is you, and wouldn't that be a shame? You'll never know who might be touched by your work if you give up on it now.
Well, a combination of an idea given to me by @combatantwriter and continued frustration with the X-Men with regards to their inaction on Greymalkin Prison inspired this one-shot featuring an in-depth conversation between Omega Red and Rogue.

One thing I’ll always find hilarious is the way romy fans be foaming at the mouths over the opinions of people who don’t ship their ship. Like, y’all got canon marriage, kids in another universe and still worried about rarepairs and crackships??? The insecurities show how y’all know it sucks but are stuck in your immature mindsets, trying to delude people into the belief that Rogue & Gambit are destined for each other forever when they’ve done more damage to each other than half the other X-Men put together. That ain’t no love story booboo.
Not even just about Rogueneto or whatever, any ship for either of them y’all is right there minding someone else’s likes and dislikes. For what? The rest of us block and scroll past yet you see art/fics of Rogue and whoever or Gambit and whoever and there is always at least two of you weirdos in the comments or tags talkin bout RoMY fOrEVeR. Y’all know they’re fictional right? That if they were real they wouldn’t even want to be in the same room as each other for all the mess they’ve done and been through because of each other.
Anyways Rogue wlw for the win. Her fine ass gay as hell and that’s my canon xox.

So I started writing a fic. That is now getting a sequel. And a spin off. And now more layers are being added that make total sense and will add depth to the story but are also devastating.
Being a writer is like owning the candy store and having to sit on your hands to keep from showing everyone who walks through the door where the Golden ticket is.
