fundraiser compilation

the posts i've made boosting the campaigns of gazans that have reached out to me have stagnated so i've decided to make a new post to bring more attention to them again. here are the fundraisers:

i don't really know what to say anymore. i keep trying to find new ways to motivate people to donate but just don't know. there are only a limited amount of ways you can say "please donate to these people who are suffering hell so they can continue to survive". but i'll try again anyways: please, if you have money to spare, donate to one or multiple of these fundraisers. and if you decide to do so make it soon because not only do they need it, don't think "i will donate later" and forget to do it or get busy with something else (cause i know this is the adhd website). don't let your forgetfulness cost people.

and if you can't donate? please just reblog. it's the press of a button. it is genuinely that simple and the least you can do if you cannot donate! please! share, spread it as much as you can to people who can afford to donate now!

fyi, Jan Smit is the paleontologist who originally noticed high levels of iridium in the Cretaceous-Paleogene Boundary sediments (now known as the K-Pg Boundary) and hypothesized the Giant Asteroid Impact Theory as the reason dinosaurs went extinct!

and as far as I know he's still out there, looking at rocks.

they both came up with it independently at around the same time working from the same data sources, but the Alvarezes ended up with their name on the official theory!

Another year has come and gone but things have hardly changed in Gaza. Israel has resumed the bombing, targeting civil workers/medics and children, while the world watches and harasses diaspora Palestinians and allies who have protested against the genocide. My friend Siraj in his previous post has said that Palestinians and Gazans do not need prayers. They do nothing for them...what is needed is action and material support. So please do whatever you can to help my friend. Please donate to his Chuffed and if you can't then please boost his fundraiser.

Also I want you to remember that Gofundme is complicit in this genocide! I cannot in good sense call it anything else. They have unfairly deleted thousands of Gazan fundraisers, which are basically the only lifelines for many families; they have also blocked community projects like the Sameer Project from accessing funds ( at least that's what I saw the last time I checked).

I am requesting you to not let this slide. My friend Siraj lost 32k when the fundraising site in their callousness deleted two of his fundraisers back to back without giving any valid reason. So if you have donated in October-December of 2024, and in January of 2025 ( this second fundraiser was run by Siraj's sister Fatima), please ask for a refund. The site has to give back the money by their own policy, as they allow refund requests upto a year. Please help my friend access these lifesaving funds.

really really love the idea that nerevar's ring isn't actually originally divinely blessed and he just got it enchanted by some dwemer mage, it makes it seem like azura saw his cunning and was so impressed that she blessed it too. imo nerevar was largely a self-made man (as in, his accomplishments were mostly his own doing and not blessings/help from azura) that azura just saw and went "ok he def knows what hes fucking doing i guess i'll make him my champion to lead my people"
