EHEHEHE THANK YOU! I knew I wanted a Mitski song on there and I'm so glad I found this one because yessss, to me it is just *chef kiss* for them. It also has a rly nice transition to #9 Supermassive Black Hole, absolutely love the beat of Washing machine heart getting all distorted in the end of the song and how it flows so well into the electrical guitar riff and rock drumbeat from Supermassive black hole with it's darker tone, HEHE very happy with that one 🫢🩷

Story wise it's a fun transition too. Like at this point they are kind of assumed to be an item, going steady or whatever people call it these days. But like the prev song, #7 Do you think we'll last forever? the seeds of "something aint right here πŸ€”πŸ™" is planted with a hint of that obsession and whirlwind of emotions. Then here there is a lot of things to unpack with Metals jealousy over Sonic and that whole identity crisis, which only gets worse in the upcoming songs.

Like, for this relationship to truly work there is a lot of issues that has to be grappled with but uh oh we haven't had the time to unpack all of that yet, so ermm... oops!!! πŸ˜…don't worry about it πŸ’”

Wow!! I love pain, misery, agony even. I love you break up era, at least that's what I'm reading this song as. Then again, some of the lyrics sounds like one of them is dead and I am reminded that robots probably "live" longer than mobians as long as they have the right tools and shit and now I can make myself even more miserable with evil thoughts in my head. Well, as you already know I am a fan of the polycule

Metaze on it's own I haven't looked into as much - WHICH I SHOULD - I think they could be cool and scary girlfriends together. As a princess I think Blaze should have a murder robot ready to kill on her command, that's so romantic 🩷

Ok not to derail myself but I immediately thought of an AU of Metal and Amy being trusted knights for princess/queen?? Blaze where Metal is just a 🀏 tiiiny bit too eager to do murder at first sign of conflict. Amy has to be the heart of the team to convince them to uh, maybe not do that? But it's fine, until it isn't. When the evil programming sways a bit too hard and Blaze herself has to put a stop to it and they fight and Metal can have a "I'm glad it's you, it had to be you" at the tip of her blade like oUGHHH ❀️‍πŸ”₯❀️‍πŸ”₯ Toxic doomed yuri 🩷🫢

Heheh, I've seen the Archie comic panels that I think sparked that ship. It's fun! Omega being impressed with Blazes' destructive capabilities πŸ”₯πŸ’₯ I think they need to hang out more, tbh I think I just want to see more of Blaze in general. Give her more mainline appearances Sega pls I'm begging you πŸ™

I've never dug that deep into the ship so I'm not sure what other people do with it, but if I'm just spitballing how I would write for it I think Omega would be the one to be drawn to her first bc of the firepower as mentioned. Blaze then getting flustered every time someone geniunely compliments her is also cute, stoic front but a softie under it y'know. Also getting to know each other more like working on missions together would show that Omega is just rly funny, I have never seen anyone fail to write for Omega idk what it is but whatever he says is just gold. Maybe it's just the astute observations he makes and unshakeable confidence, I think making Blaze laugh would give an angel their wings. Ain't that why we like to ship her with other funny Lil guys (ex: Silver, Sonic, Amy) Also, I can see them having a Sonadow thing with being rivals when taking out badniks, yes, keep count. Let Blaze have fun even when doing serious work πŸ’œ

I do love a romance between a girl and her robot friend, obviously, but I wonder if Omega would be interested in romance?? Maybe not in the traditional sense, which I don't think Blaze would feel a strong need for either, tbh so like... idk what I would label them as. Could be romantic, platonic, something outside or between that, idk maaan. But I think they have potential as a fun dynamic!!

🎡Song #35 Love Like You by Rebecca Sugar 🎡[Full playlist]

YEAAAA! We're at the end so what's more fitting than to have a literal end credit song to wrap everything up with? This one is specifically from Volume 2 which is different, it has this longer intro which I love the build up for and though not all the verses but the ones that are there are the most important so it's still perfect lyrically. I also mentioned this in the prev post but I also just really wanted this song bc of how it sounds musically. I have my playlists on repeat and this song flows very well back into Song #1 Digital Love which was epic, the ride never ends baby!!!

SO! Before we end the story there has been a time skip from the prev song #34 Too Long, that's the only way that song makes sense to me, as things seem to finally look bright again. Overcoming the strings and wires, if not fully then at least enough to feel like Metal is at the place he wants to be, which would then be with Amy. This song is sweet but it's not like a "I'm 100% fine and everything is okay now" way, the past hasn't been magically erased and there is still work to do after all. But at least it's hopeful! Though I love my drama, angst, divorce and bittersweet endings I decided to go with something more positive here... I can't help it that I am a true hopeless romantic at heart 🩷πŸ₯Ή

Gonna answer this ask on this blog for consistency :] Thanks for asking! This is a fun one, it's one that I first discovered on this Billford playlist by Mikimuun which is what inspired me to start this playlist in the first place! This isn't the only song these two playlists have in common hehe, find music I like? I'm going to yoink it unapologetically

I absolutely love this song as a sorta theme for Metal Sonic. Metal Overlords theme is much later in the playlist so we get this instead at the start followed by Sweet Passion for Amy as number 3. I find it super funny to have this come directly after Digital Love, which is all about this adorable dream full of gay longing and yearning (we love to yearn here) and then the first line of this song is just WAKE UP, in the Eggman Empire we don't have time for that sorta nonsense it is time for business as usual; aka being a pawn for Eggman in his schemes

Smile so widely. It's kinda wild that spotify was the one who recommended me this song as I was making the playlist. Like, I did specifically want the F/F flavor of Metamy for this story and they just knew LMAO. Trans girl Metal HC my beloved, though I can never be consistent with the pronouns but I usually default to using He/Him or It/Its for Metal in my own writing.

So far, Metal got it's ass beat, fell in love, and now needs to get repaired. It's in this state that the identity questions pop up, being the Real Sonic, Genderβ„’ thoughts and also doing something about the big fat crush it's got on that darn Pink Hedgehog.
