thought I would be a little more explicit, but if it wasn’t obvious, I don’t use tumblr anymore. best wishes. <3

is it better to have more pixels? or are the smaller the pixel the better quality? sorry for asking so many questions
You can easily search this up.
It really depends what you use them for. Generally, more detail -> higher resolution -> more pixels. If you enlarge a 100px image to 200px image, it will be blurry. 200px image to 100px image will still retain it’s quality.
hey! i'm not sure if you answer these kind of questions, so please feel free to ignore if you don't. do you know if there's a way to disable autoplay on videos in the tumblr theme? i knw there's ways to do it on the dashboard, but i mean specifically in a theme. whenever i have a video on, say page 1 of my theme, the load time is significantly longer than on page 2 with no videos, and on my /tagged/video page the load time is HELLA long. i'm using your flexible videos script, if that's any help!
hi me again lmao, i just realised autoplay only happens on videos posted in NPF, videos posted as a traditional video post don't have autoplay. and from my understanding most theme creators don't really know how to work around NPF posts yet. sorry to waste your time!!
Yep. It’s slower because the script has to iterate through every post with a video after it has been loaded. If there’s any way to make the runtime faster, feel free to suggest improvements.
Also, thanks for bringing up the NPF posts. I didn’t know Tumblr had a new API and now you can fetch post’s data with it in a clean way. The issue is you have to authenticate your API key to use it, so that’s why creators can’t work around it. You can definitely do cooler things.
do I also need to delete the scroll to top part in the script near the top with the 'var' thingy? also is there a way to delete the infinite scroll from the theme?
No, you don’t need to delete the script. And yes, most functions (in this case because we’re hosting through Tumblr) that are displayed on the webpage can be deleted in the HTML file because that’s how a webpage is displayed and how Tumblr themes are set up. Mostly everything you see in the preview is in the HTML.
hello! I absolutely love your themes!!! I was wondering if there was a way to disable 'scroll to top' on your themes? also, do you take commissions/would consider doing them/help with customization for money in the future? thank you!
In regards to the scroll, go to the bottom and delete “scroll-top” element.
In regards to commissions, yes, I would consider doing them.
hello! I've looked all over your blog and I haven't been able to find any rules/guidelines to use your themes that most theme makers have... I was wondering if you have any specific set rules? I'm would like to use one of your themes & edit it to suit my own aesthetic (probably to the point where it may not be recognisable). I know some theme makers are against heavy editing so I was wondering what your stance on this was? part 1/
part 2 / the theme I want to edit is only for personal use and I'll keep your credit intact of course. I will also have a message on my blog saying 'theme ... by nouvae - heavily edited' so my followers will be able to know exactly what theme of yours I have edited. I hope you have a lovely week!
Yeah, I know. To be honest, it doesn’t matter that much to me, but credit would be nice. Don’t forget that there’s also a lot of base codes out there for you to use. Happy coding!
i love your themes!!!! i have them on 2 out of 3 of my blogs and god they’re amazing!! about a year ago i kind of “discovered” the theme making community on tumblr and your blog was the first one i found, you kind of inspired me to relearn css and html and start learning to make my own themes so thank you!! 💕💕
