anyways i do actually really enjoy the recent side stuff that portrays amy and shadow Being Friends. it’s really cute.
but i also find it funny to think about how those two would have gotten there, because the dynamic starts with Amy being the one deciding factor in shadow not exploding the world. that’s her. the person who made shadow not blow up the world.
they speak to each other like, twice, in all of sa2. and then barely interact in any game after. so i’d imagine it would be quite awkward to talk to amy again, on shadow’s end. because, again, amy was there for such a pivotal moment for shadow, when he truly realized what the legacy he wants to follow actually is. but amy’s a pretty naturally compassionate person, and a whole bunch of other catastrophes happened after that, so to her, i think, that doesn’t even really click. it was just your average disaster tuesday.
so shadow like, hypes himself up, rouge hypes him up to just like talk to amy and ask her to get a coffee or something, it’s this whole big thing for him after he finally has most of his memories back and actually remembers that that happened, and how pivotal amy was, and she agrees to hang out of course because she loves to make friends and do stuff except as shadow tries to broach the subject it is just. abundantly clear. that amy Does Not remember her fucking role in these events. did not click as unusual for her.
and he finally manages to open up about this and say, hey amy, if you hadn’t been there on the ark i would have blown up the world. i am entirely serious about this. and amy just responds like haha that’s so sweet of you to say shadow. do you want another slice of cake or
