Orla Drumgoole on Instagram: "I made this video ages ago but never posted. It’s time to get prepping for the Christmas dinner! I’m not a fan of onion but believe me you will love this stuffing - it’s unbelievably moreish - I use it for all sorts - you’ll see in the last photo I made it with stuffed pork - comment in the poll below if you want me to show you how to prep that one - I also used it for canapés - I’ll share that one too. I stuff the neck of my turkey with this and the crisp skin added to this stuffing is out of this world. I also make batons - I freeze and use as I need. It can cook from frozen. Lots more to share this week - savoury and sweet. Veg, trifle, my pistachio mince pies - I’m excited! But sick! And sick of being sick 🤒 Ingredients for three six inch batons - you

Full credits for the method go to @kenjilopezalt who has an in-depth article about the science behind this recipe on his blog @seriouseats! ⠀ RECIPE - about 2 kg potatoes - salt - 1/2 tsp baking soda - 4 tbsp oil (neutral vegetable oil or olive oil) - 1 sprig rosemary - 3 garlic cloves ⠀ ❶ Preheat oven to 230°C/450°F. ❷ To a large pot add 3 liters of water, salt and baking soda and bring to a boil. ❸ Peel and chop potatoes, then boil for 10-15 minutes until fork tender. Caz Mooney - Irish Budgeting on Instagram: "My viral hack for Christmas veg! 🎄 Blanching vegetables is a great way to reduce cooking time.. which is amazing because the oven is in hot demand Christmas day! Plus the less time I have to be in the kitchen on the day itself, the better! Blanching times: Carrots & parnips - 10 mins Brussel sprouts - 5 mins Once everything is cool we can cover and pop into the freezer until we need them. I take them out the day before, defrost in the fridge and then add some flavour and cook them in half the time on the day. I’ve added fresh rosemary and thyme to the carrots and parsnips which I’ve roasted, and halfway through I added some honey. The Brussel sprouts were fried in the same herbs, some garlic purée and you could also add pancetta. Hope this
Sophie Morris on Instagram: "Gravy granules is always one of the most requested foods for me to look at!! I want to call out this Bisto product in particular that states it’s “made with real meat juices” as it frustrates me so much that a product like this, which is mostly made up of maltodextrin, can state that it’s a “foiled in freshne
