Belleville Public Library is excited to host trailblazing aviation professional Lola Reid Allin for a special presentation, Highway to the Sky: Women in Aviation. Airplanes and adventure have captivated men —and women—for centuries. Despite this shared passion, men dominate the industry as airline pilots, flight instructors, maintenance and aerospace engineers, and in management positions. Discover the origins of this imbalance and why it persists, and learn how YOU can become a pilot and be part of the sea change currently happening in aviation and other STEM careers.
