Little side note: this costume got totally out of hand… I originally wanted to make only portraits and somehow ended up with this build.
I was very inspired by the crystal blood aesthetic embroidery and I‘m very happy that I could finally try it!
Even though I thought that it would partially be a bit less embroidery and more rhinestone stone gluing. I planned to combine it yet the stones didn’t stick to the stretchy fabric that good 🤷🏻‍♀️
And here we are.

Then I added shape and detail with kitchen strainers, beads and whatever else I could find. Standard paper mache layers and next up is the detail! I’ve just wrapped up the photoshoot for all of my costumes and I’m SO STOKED. It’s been healing to connect with my whimsical side again. Through this process, some things became clear to me.
