52K views · 8.4K reactions | This might be one of those “oh that looks easy” reels but there are plenty of things happening that don’t depict the whole story 👇🏼🫢⁣ ⁣ Such as:⁣ • the water I add to the Dr Ph Martin’s Bleedproof white is only a few drops… but that’s constantly changing as I continue to make lots and lots of flowers, not just one. Meaning, I’m constantly adjusting my mix… more water, less water, more white, less white 😐⁣ • the Naphthamide Maroon needs to be super concentrated (thick) but adding a tinyyy drop of water on the edge of the clump helps ⁣ • It’s a guessing game in the beginning until I get the above mixes correct ⁣ • loading your brush is the critical part- I roll my brush in the white, drag off some excess, dip the tip into the edge of the concentrated maroon, sometimes I dab my brush on a tissue if it “feels” too heavy, sometimes I don’t, and then pray for the best and lay down my stroke 🫣⁣ • IF the flower petals turn out ok, I move on and add some whimsical lines in between the petals, dots & lines in the center, some greenery, and then call it done! • long story short, it’s not always easy. Please don’t get frustrated if you try it.
