It’s a flaky flatbread that has its origins in Indian cuisine, but is enjoyed in many South-East Asian countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore. There’s nothing better than eating freshly cooked flaky roti from a roadside stall but frozen roti, available from supermarkets, is pretty close to the real deal. You can find it in the freezer aisle and it’s quick to cook in a frying pan.
