Schmorl's Node
A Schmorl’s node might form when vertebrae are wedged, wearing on the disc and causing some of the disc to push into the vertebrae. But when they show up on x-rays for children, they can signal Scheuermann’s kyphosis (osteochondrosis) is causing abnormal spinal development.
