7.2K views · 319 reactions | DIY Lighted Holiday Plate Decor | Grab any salad and dinner plate from DT for this lighted home decor for the holidays! 🎄 | By She So CraftDee | Salad plates, dinner plates from the Dollar Tree. We're going to need six tumbling tower blocks from the Dollar Tree and we're going to need two holiday greenery bundles of your choice from the Dollar Tree and of course a strand of battery fairy lights from the Dollar Tree. You can use any color that you love. Alright, we're going to start off with the two plates. One salad plate and one dinner plate. Now, I wanted to bond these together but I wanted a gap in between them. So, this is where the tumbling tower blocks come into play. So, I have six of them. They're going to be a layer of two with three blocks on the top and three blocks on the bottom and I'm just going to adhere them in groups of three. Now, once you have your two groups of three, you're just going to stack them on top of each other and glue those together and that will be the perfect height that I need to make the separation between the two plates. So now I'm going to take the back of the salad plate and remove any labels if there aren't any back there and I'm going to glue the block set on the back of the salad plate. I am using my wood hot glue for this but you could use E6, 000 or gorilla glue or any glue of your choice. Now you just want to glue that until it's nice and secure on the back. Now we're going to make sure we mark the middle of the happy holiday sign on the back of the plate so we know how to put our lights on there so I'm going to be using some of these Dollar Tree fairy lights I've had this for a while but they do sell this in stores now for $1 25 at the Dollar Tree so I'm unwinding my lights and I'm just going to start wrapping this around the back of that solid plate and I want to make sure it's outside of the part that the plate sits on so I'm just going to be adhering this with the easiest thing which is scotch tape this is the perfect to use for this. No need to use hot glue or any adhesives. It works perfectly since these lights are very lightweight. So, I'm going to wrap it around twice until you have the battery pack and a little bit of the wire dangling from the bottom center. And then what you're going to do is you're going to adhere that plate onto the dinner plate. Add more of your glue of your choice on the back of those blocks and then make sure you carefully center it on the dinner plate on top. Now, all we have to do is flip the whole thing over and we're just going to add the battery pack to the back. Now, you could use those little adhesive squares for the Dollar Tree or like the Velcro or I'm just going to go ahead and just use my scotch tape. Not a problem. As you could see, it is stuck there. It isn't going anywhere and it works perfectly for this project. So now what we're going to do is take two of those greenery bundles that you chose and we're just going to kind of intertwine them together to make them one nice long bundle. This will be accenting the bottom of our piece. It's really easy to do and you can use any bundle that you want. So, everything is nice and adhere on our plates. This is where the bundle will go. We want to cover up the little wire from the lights. We're just going to sit this here. Now, we're not going to be gluing this or anything. All we need to do is sit it in front. So, what we're going to take to display this is one of these little picture holders from the Dollar Tree. Now, I do show a large one here but I did find that the smaller ones actually hold the plate a little better but you can use either one of them. You're going to sit your plate on the plate holder and then grab that bundle and then we're going to sit that bundle right in front of it just kind of covering up that wire. There's no need to actually glue this or adhere this because once you have it sitting on display, it shouldn't be bothered at all. So, it would be perfect to just sit it right there and you can also reuse these items. So, to test it out, I'm just going to go ahead and turn on those lights and there you go. You have a lighted background. I think that is so sweet. I love how this turned out. So, now, you could just put these on display. And here is the plate on display. I just think that this turned out super sweet. Now, I do love that soft glow from the back of the plate and it highlights all of that pretty trim and design on these plates. I just love this collection this year. Now, adding the holiday bundle just tops the whole thing off. Now, this is an easy project that you can make that looks great on any display. Now, I turned off my studio lights and you can really enjoy the glow in the back of the plate. Now, I think this is definitely one that you can whip up really quick and make an impressive display to enjoy all of the holiday season.

Let’s Build a Snowman | Do you wanna build a snowman? | By Designs by Dina | Hello everyone it's Dina Ray with Designs by Dina and today we're going to make a cute snowman using these wood cutouts that I had from my daughter's baby shower probably five years ago but you know I never throw anything away so I'm just taking one of the craft sticks and I'm hot gluing it on there first of all trying to get it good and spaced out good and do for a little bit extra security. I am just taking my mini stapler and putting a few staples in there. And then this is a little it was an ornament that I got from Walmart few years ago. And I had taken it apart to use for something else and then I didn't end up using it. And I found it in my stash. So I decided I was going to use that for his hat. So I just took stuffing. I cut it up and then this is the trim that was already on it but it was still too long for his head. So, I had to cut some that toboggan off and then I kept that piece so I could go around and put that little fur trim at the top. So, I think that just looks so cute. I'm just making sure it's glued and on there good I wanted to leave a little space up there where I can tuck in a piece of greenery so I didn't completely glue it all the way and then I'm just taking this piece of fabric I had I was trying to use what I had it wasn't quite long enough to tie so I thought well I I had two little strips of it and so I just glued that piece on and then just tied a knot in the other piece that I had and then now kind of putting some little cuts into that piece to make it look frayed at the end and then I thought I would use red buttons instead of the black buttons and I actually found two matching buttons in my button stash and I think it looks so cute. So now I'm going to add some greener in there was a the spot that I kind of left open to tuck that in but it just didn't want to go in there right. So I ended up just cutting it down a little smaller and just gluing it on. So cute. I'm loving it so far. And so this is just a piece of cardboard. I needed a piece and actually if you follow me you know that Kenny just got me a TV from my studio. And so I just happened to look to the right of me and I saw that box there. So I just took a big piece off of it to make my little carrot nose. So you use what you got around ya. So now taking my Pasca pen in the color orange and it's a little bright for sure but we will tone it down and those are really good markers that I use them all the time for our wood cut out kits because they're such tiny pieces and they work perfect and then there's I just use that same wax that I've been using is Dixie Belle Gel Stain and it's called Tobacco Road. And I just kind of darken the nose and then now I'm taking my little Sharpie acrylic paint pins and I made him some little eyes. I know you can't see because that toboggan's a little too fluffy and you can't see what I'm doing. I apologize for that and then I gave him a little white spot in his eye and then this is some pink paint that I just so happen to have on my desk at the time. So, I used it. It was a little too light for what I wanted But I needed some cheeks. And I was using what was around me so I didn't have to stop and go get a different color. So then I decided to take some distressed oxide in the color frayed burlap and I just kind of went over it just a little bit to kind of tone it down and darken it a little bit. Okay so now I'm gluing on my nose. And I'm taking the black Sharpie and just drew him a mouth. Then I have these little scrabble pieces and my first thought was to put joy down at the bottom where it's going to meet a stand that I'm going to put it on. And then as I was doing that oh that would be really cute on the opposite side going up and down. So that's what I decided to do. So I did want to darken them just a little bit. And then I'm just going to hot glue those on there. And it fit perfect and I'm getting all those glue strings and then there's another wood piece and it's cracked in the back so I thought well that would be a good piece to use because nobody's going to see the back and so I glue him on there but then for a little bit more stability, I got those little jinga blocks and I'm just gluing those to the back And then I have this cute little cardinal that I got from Hobby Lobby. I'm just kind of darkening him a little bit because he was a little bright. And just glued him on. I know you guys can't see what I'm doing. And there it is you guys. It's so cute. Oh wait. I forgot I was I forgot his arms. So I I had some little branches, some little stems and I put them for his arms. So thank you all for watching. I did add a little snow tech to the bottom. Hope y'all have a blessed day. Thanks for watching.

2.7K views · 38 reactions | Snowflake Shelf Sitter DIY | In case you missed this one. Snowflake Shelf Sitter | By We Craft Around | Hey, everybody. It's Beth. Today, I'm using the Snowflake Hanger from Dollar Tree. I'm painting it with a couple coats of plastered chalk paint by Waverly. Now, I'm taking some spackling and filling in that hole because I won't be hanging it so you can definitely do this step before you paint it so you don't have to touch up the paint after but I fill in the holes, heat it up with my heating tool to dry it and then lightly sand off any excess and get that smooth and then just touch up the paint on both sides And then also take this three inch wood round and that is from Walmart. As well as this point three six inch dowel from Dollar Tree and a two inch wooden wheel from Hobby Lobby. Paint those both with the plaster chalk paint as well. Next I am taking Mod Podge and adding it to one side of the wood round. And then adding on this vintage window claying that I got from Amazon. And just smooth it out try to get out any bubbles. I very lightly use my heating tool to dry that layer. Just putting very minimal heat on it. Not leaving it on too long so it doesn't melt it. And then cut off the excess window clang around the edge. Add a layer of Mod Podge on top. And then dry that as well. Next I'm taking a sponge brush and I put some truffle color chalk paint also by Waverly on there and I kind of wipe most of the excess off and then lightly distress all around the outside edge of the snowflake as well as those little cutouts on the center. I don't get the very inside of it because that will be covered. I also distress all around the window cling on that circle as well as the wee and the dowel. For the wheel and the dowel, after I have those covered, I take a baby wipe and kind of blend in that paint all around those. Next I place down the wooden circle just to see where I need to add glue. Add the hot glue down and place that down. Making sure that the image is facing right above one of the snowflake points. And then add hot glue to the back in a straight line where I'm going to be adding the dowel just leaving maybe about four inches below the snowflake so most of that dowel is hot glued to the back After I had painted the dowel, it didn't fit inside the wooden wheel as well as it did before so I just gave it a light sanding all around the bottom of it. Just where it's going to be placed inside that hole in the center. Add some hot glue inside the hole in the wheel and push down in the dowel. That is it for this project. Thank you so much for watching.
