(If you look closely, you can see I first tried to use contact paper, but it wasn’t sticky enough. More on that another day!) Then I covered the tree with green painters tape, sticky side out. I secured all the corners with more tape. The painters tape was the PERFECT amount of stickiness for the ball pit balls. My toddler had a blast “picking apples” then putting them back on. He did this all afternoon and evening! We then practiced some color recognition and counting.
