This is a must-have for the outdoor season! For safety, fill the combustion chamber only three-quarters full, never let the fire burn unattended, and never refill while the fire is burning. Always use stainless steel or ceramic bowls, not plastic, and avoid using empty cans as combustion chambers due to safety concerns. 284K views · 26K reactions | Here’s a step-by-step tutorial on how I turned my planter into a fire bowl. This only takes 5 to 10 minutes and is a DIY anyone can do. Using the viral $30 planter and filling it with a bucket. Adding dirt and then a smaller fluted planter on top. Fill the smaller planter with lava rock, which is a non-flammable base. Use a tabletop fire kit and deconstruct. It will come with a stainless bowl where you can place your fuel source and a glass hurricane. Hold both of those items in place with fire Glass. It wouldn’t be a planter without plants so adding some easy to take care of flowers full disclosure I don’t have a green thumb and these may not make it through the season but we’re gonna try. Fuel source, I prefer rubbing alcohol as it doesn’t leave marks on the glass you can also use Tiki fuel to keep the bugs away. Linking all items in my bio, under my home or in stories, tag me if you give us go I would love to see how yours turns out . . . #home #diy #tutorial #firepit #firebowl #outdoordecor #patioseason #viralplanter #walmartfinds #sellingthesuburbs #allthingshome #howto #easydiy #momsofinsta #realtorlife #planters #homeandgarden #homehacks #tabletopfirepit #firefeature #ltkhome #walmartfinds | Amanda Albrecht your Real Estate Bestiee

1.4K views · 39K reactions | Remember seeing our concrete bowl planters? They aren’t just limited to plants! Today added a bit of flare to this garden bed, using one of our ‘small’ brick red bowls transforming it into a decorative fire bowl with this quick DIY. Step 1. Fill with sand Step 2. Place stainless steel bowl in the centre Step 3. Cover with a piece of steel mesh Step 4. Fill around the bowl with lava stones/volcanic rock to hold the mesh in place. Step 5. Add some alcohol fuel to the bowl, bioethanol fuel burns approximately 30min per 125ml Step 6. Enjoy P.S. The fence is/will be fine 😉 #concrete #gardenfeature #firebowl #gardentorch #concreteplanter #concretebowl #diyfirepit #diy #concreter | Price Concrete Co.

3.6M views · 216K reactions | When your hubby says no to a £1200 fire pit so you DIY 2 of them 😜 It really is as simple as the reel shows! But let’s cover off the safety stuff because I see people posting about DIY fire bowls but not so much the dos and don’ts which I think is so important! 1. You should ONLY use materials that are fire safe, especially when it comes to adding the stones. I have seen a lot of reels using normal pebbles - this is NOT safe! Pebbles, river rocks, sandstone and many other porous or wet rocks can crack when they reach a high temperate causing them to explode and cause serious injury. You should ONLY use hard rock in a fire bowl/pit such as marble, slate, granite, lava rock or pre fabricated stone made specifically for this purpose. (Local garden centres have lots of choice/colours) 2. Containing the fire liquid or gel - use stainless steel, not plastic or any other material that is at risk of melting at high temps - (I used dog bowls from Amazon! £12 for 2, saved in my Amazon shopping list under garden) 3. Wire mesh - if you are creating a larger fire bowl/pit, adding galvanised or stainless steel mesh across the top will give extra protection to anything accidentally falling in or coming out - these are all little things that just help to keep you safer around fire. - (Ours is from B&Q, £9 for 5m) 4. Our planters were from a local garden centre, the brand is Mega Collection but choose any style planter that you love, just make sure it’s fire safe - stone, fibreglass etc - not plastic! The sand barrier will absorb the heat so the more you have in your planter the better - sand is non negotiable in my opinion! (58cm) 5. Lastly - bio ethanol is highly flammable so use with caution, always pour with a funnel and if you get any drips or spills be sure to clean it immediately and wait for it to be full dry before lighting your bowl. You can also use ceramic wool in the base of the bowl to help absorb the liquid which can slow the burn rate making your fire last a little longer! (Also saved in my Amazon list) 🔥 Never add more liquid to a live flame 🔥 If you have any questions at all please pop them below! Love always, E x x #firebowl #diy | Elle Beadle
