Old-Time Peanut Butter Squares! | peanut butter, snack, cafeteria, nostalgia | Old-Time Peanut Butter Squares! No Oven Required. I grew up buying these peanut butter squares in my public school cafeteria. Did you have these too?... | By Wonder and Raw | To our one and 1/ 4 cup peanut butter and two sticks of melted butter. We are going to mix two cups of white powdered sugar. I'm going to put half of that in to get it good started. And I also crunched up just so you can see here. In a bag. I had graham crackers but I needed graham cracker crumbs. So I I used about twelve full graham crackers. I'm going to put half of that mixture in here now as well. Now I'm going to dump in the other half of the powdered sugar. And the other half and the graham crackers. It's important that you mix this by hand and not use a hand mixer. So, you get all the sugar mixed in by hand. Also, I've used creamy peanut butter. You are welcome if you're a crunchy family to use crunchy. We are then going to pour this in a prepared, I sprayed with Pam, a prepared Nine by 13 pan. Perfect. We're going to move on to the topping now. The topping consist of two thirds of a cup of peanut butter. It's hiding in here and one cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips. I am now going to microwave these and melt them down. I'm going to start with 30 seconds and then I'm going to check them every 10 seconds to make sure we don't burn the chocolate. Here we go. Our melted chocolate peanut butter mixture perfectly melted in the microwave. I'm now going to pour this gently over our peanut butter mixture. Okay. These are ready to refrigerate for two hours until they're nice and firm. Then we're going to slice them and enjoy. Our no bake chocolate peanut butter squares are out of the refrigerator. I'm going to show you the bottom is peanut butter and the top is the melted chocolate peanut butter mixture. They look and smell just like I remember but I'm going to take this recipe one step further for you because this is a lot. If you're like me and you really like to bake, you wind up having a lot of stuff in your house and if you're also like me, you don't just want to leave these pans out to be eaten by just you and your husband. So, I try to make things that I can freeze. As you know, I just took this out of the refrigerator It's okay. They're going to be perfect. Be careful with a sharp knife like I am being. We're actually having company on Saturday. So this works out perfect. If you have containers at home, plastic storage containers. You take these beautiful squares and you line them in these boxes. These are big pieces. You then take a piece of parchment paper and you stack it right on top. I'll bring it closer to you. Again I made these squares very large. So hopefully so maybe I'll cut them down when our company comes. But again, You stack the parchment paper right on top And this can be frozen. Or it can be refrigerated. Depending on when you're going to eat them. Gonna go two more here. Oops. Check that out. We'll put one more piece for good luck on the top. And then I'm going to shove a top on it. And again this container can be frozen. Or refrigerated. Depending on when you're going to eat these. I will take a taste because I know you guys are all dying to see what they really looks and taste like. Here's a tiny little sample. I mean they're so good. I don't even I can I can smell how they are. This is so reminiscent of my childhood but I'm going to take a small bite because I have eaten a ton today. I mean so good.

Throw the lid on it. Cook it for four hours on low or six hours on high. And when you get back to your Crock Pot and lift that lid you are going to have the most amazing fork tender honey garlic chicken you've ever had. Seriously. It's good. Mm. That doesn't count. Let me get a plate. Alright. Let's try this for the very first time. This is my new favorite crock pot chicken. This is amazing. This is all I need. I threw it over some jasmine rice. I got some steam in the bag broccoli. This is a great dinner for me. Um obviously you can thicken the sauce. This sauce is like water. Delicious Um but you could do a cornstarch slurry. You could thicken it up if that's what you're into. I don't use a lot of the sauce. The chicken has so much flavour and the sauce is just extra calories for me. Um but if you like sauce thicken that sucker up and pour it on. Do what you gotta do. But for me it doesn't need it. And now I can eat more chicken. Ugh. Honey garlic chicken. Garlic honey chicken. Honey garlic chicken. Which one sounds better? I don't even know. I'm like drunk on chicken thighs right now. Damn this is good. Uh yeah. Okay. I'm going to eat. Uh this is amazing. You gotta try it. If you like chicken and honey and garlic and joy make this. Trust me. See you in the comments. You still here? Get out of here. Just kidding. I love you.
