Instant pot

I received my Instant pot (8 quarts) a couple of days ago. Today I cooked my first meal in it. stuffed Grape leaves. OMG!!! The tasts and smell are amazing. This meal takes normally in a regular pot on the stove about 1 hour ( depending on size) . But with the instant pot the cooke time was only 15 min . I love my sintant pot. Recipe : Grape leaves one jar from any speciality store arabic store 1 lbs ground beef Rice 2.5 cups Seasoning (based on your taste) 7 spice Ground nutmeg Salt Lemon pepper 1/4 cup oil You soak rice with water for 15 min then drain Stuffing : Add rice, seasonings, meet and oil together in one bowl mix them together. Stuff the leaves: Grab individual leave add about a spoon full of the the stuffing Wrap the leave( you can watch videos on how to wrap them on YouTube) place them in the pot tightly together add about 2.5 cups of water 0.5 cup lemon juice The IP I put it on manual high pressure for 15 mins If you have any question on the ingredient let me know :) Here are some tips, •If you end up with extra water don't drain it. Keep them aside and heat the leaves in them the next day. • I play with the stuffing: sometime I add diced tomatoes. During lent I don't add meat and add pine nuts instead and chickpeas. But everything else the same. • if you don't eat carbs. Use quinoa ( like some member suggested) instead of rice. • instead of 2.5 cups of water I added 2 cup water and 1 cup tomatoe sauce. • I added fresh tomato slices and lemon slices between and on the bottom so when you flip it. It's on top. • make them with stuffed Mexican squash smallest size and use same stuffing. • add lamb ribs or lamb shoulder leaves in between it gives it a great taste( I didn't test this in the IP but I will soon to see about how long to keep them) If I think of any more will update this again!
