Product on Instagram: "Door lock technology has evolved over 4,000 years, beginning with ancient Egypt’s wooden pin tumbler locks, which required a matching wooden key to lift the pins. The Romans later improved this by using metal and introducing warded locks that required specifically shaped keys. In the 18th century, Robert Barron invented the double-acting lever tumbler lock, significantly enhancing security. Linus Yale Jr.’s 19th-century pin tumbler design, still widely used today, further revolutionized locks. Modern advancements include electronic, smart, and biometric locks, merging mechanical and digital technology for greater security. 🎥: fkt3d
