This combo of boxwood and lavender is what we'll do in the front of our house. Front Garden Ideas, Front Gardens, Front Garden Design, Gravel Garden, Front Landscaping, Garden Shrubs, Low Maintenance Garden, Gardens Design, Front Yard Garden

This is the perfect low maintenance garden, although the boxwood requires occasional pruning to keep its shape. The lavender provides some softness against the structured boxwood, planters, and stone. I wish I could duplicate this look in my own yard (especially now that the snow is gone). UPDATE: This lovely garden was designed by Steven Kelvin Gardens. Click here for the website.

White Wax Begonias Wax begonias are tender perennials in Zones 8-11 but I grow them as a flower suitable for edging beds in light shade. It has waxy leaves and produces clusters of single or double white flowers. Wax begonias bloom non-stop throughout the entire season until first frost. It looks great with another annual, Purple Angelonia, as I planted here.
