Red Man Syndrome (RMS) is an infusion-related reaction commonly associated with vancomycin, a glycopeptide antibiotic. It is not an allergic reaction but a histamine-mediated response that typically occurs when vancomycin is infused too quickly leading to non-lgE-mediated histamine release from mast cells. •Flushing or redness of the face, neck, and upper torso. • Pruritus (itching). •Hypotension (low blood pressure). •Rarely, angioedema or chest pain.
