Kanchipuram Sarees

Kanchipuram, a city in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, is a traditional centre for silk weaving and handloom industries for producing Kanchipuram Sarees. Woven in pure and finest quality of mulberry silk that comes from Karnataka, the zari used in weaving these sarees is either real silver zari or tested high quality zari. While weaving a genuine Kanchipuram silk saree, the border and the body are woven separately and interlocked together to make one saree.
