This handmade one-of-a-kind lotus lampshade is made from silk velvet in a rich purple color that I hand block-printed myself. I also hand-dyed the ombre fringe to match. The patterned velvet has a slightly distressed look with the pattern more pronounced in parts and more faded in other areas. I lined this shade with a silver fabric (see photograph) to protect the velvet and to diffuse the light. The result is an outstanding piece of art that will be an eclectic statement piece for your home. In comparison with the other handmade lampshades you will find on Etsy using Victorian-style frames, my lamps are exceptionally well made and stretched, using only the best materials and methods.
