Job Summary
This position is currently remote with occasional in-person meetings in Frankfort, KY.

The Institute for Biomedical Informatics is seeking a Technical Project Specialist II to join the Office of Data Analytics team. This position will be working on the Department of Medicaid Services contract with the State of Kentucky.

The research portfolio/project specialist role will be responsible for tracking the progress and deliverables of multiple research and evaluation projects being conducted to inform health policy and enhance public health program administration and service delivery. Some of the position responsibilities include:

  • Ensure project alignment with broader program goals.
  • Synthesize findings across research efforts to identify gaps and dependencies.
  • Assess research outcomes and contributions to program direction.
  • Coordinate communication, responsibilities, and deliverables across teams.
  • Assist with managing timelines and producing data-driven reports.
  • Support leadership in strategic decision-making and program adjustments.

The person in this position must have strong analytical skills, be a strategic thinker, and effectively communicate with various stakeholders Knowledge of health policy, public health, and health services research is preferred.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Microsoft Project, Clarity Project Management Software or other PM tool experience
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
Preferred Education/Experience
At least 4 years of project management experience is preferred

Driver’s license preferred.
