Annarita is associate professor of Political Science at the Department of Social Sciences, University of Naples "Federico II". She graduated with 110 cum laude in Sociology and got a PhD in Social Systems and Public Policy Analysis at the Faculty of Sociology, University of Rome La Sapienza.
Since February 2021 she has been a member of the CUN (Italian National University Council).
Since 2002 she has been teaching Italian Political System and Analysis of Political Language at the Department of Social Sciences, Federico II University.
From 2001 to today Lecturer at the Summer School on Concept Analysis in the Web Environment by Federico II University and - from 2018 - in partnership with IPSA (International Political Science Association).

At the beginning of her academic career she worked in numerous research projects on the subject of political parties and government institutions in Italy, and carried out study and training at Essex University, the European University Institute and Cornell University. In particular, at the latter, she worked on the international Hyperpolitics project: an Interactive Dictionary of Political Science Concepts, co-directed by Mauro Calise and Theodore J. Lowi. In the last ten years she has participated in various national and international research programs on political parties, governments in a comparative perspective, the presidentialization of politics; e-government, digital politics and political language.
