Charlie Cox playing an American putting on an Irish accent is amazing, but not the first of his accent-ceptions, for we should not forget when he spoke Spanish in Season 1:

But truly his greatest moment of actingception in the show is in Season 3 whenever Matt had to pretend to be sighted I've written about years ago:

I appreciate everyday that I get to witness this man work his magic in the role again ❤️

On last night’s “Daredevil,” Matt found out the villain was after his girlfriend by feeling the villain’s dozens of paintings of her.

To the show’s credit, they made it as believable as possible. Matt already knew that the sketches were of faces, and he felt that several featured the same subject before he honed in on the details. Yes, the last painting was extra textured. Yes, Matt’s senses make him extra sensitive to texture/temperature changes and minuscule details.

But, as a professional creator of tactile graphics for the blind: He Could Not Fucking Do That. /lh

Yeah, it kind of annoyed me too because like one of the things that makes Daredevil interesting is that Matt is blind. Like sure he doesn't actually need the cane because he can echolocate or whatever but he does 100% need the braille documents and screen reader. And that could have been so interesting in ddba because idk if Matt actually knows about the Punisher tattoos that the cops have or the graffiti Muse had been making. It could have built tension if Matt was searching for clues about Muse but they were all pictures so he can't figure it out until someone four rooms away is like "we id'ed the person in the drawings as Dr Heather Glenn" and Matt has to be like "shitshitshit" while racing to save her and also to save her before the dirty cop task force gets there

RIGHT!! Thank you!!! It was such a great opportunity to show how Matt’s disability limits him even in the most desperate of situations but NOoooOoOoOoOo

being a quote-on-quote "big blog" in one fandom and then making art for a different fandom and getting 0 notes is objectively awesome. feels like an exiled nobleman in a new land having to deal with peasant lifestyle for the first time. it builds character
