RENEWED FOR A THIRD SEASON

Oooh oooh! Here’s another bondage trope I hate:

When the main character is tied up differently than everyone else, but just so they can escape easier!

Because, you know, they’re just SO special that the antagonists conveniently decided they get lighter restraints, just as a treat.

begging and pleading for more of the opposite:

a character is singled out to be restrained more heavily than everyone else because they're seen as more dangerous. Their fellow captives get handcuffs and a gag, but they get a full blindfold, headphones, muzzle, chains on every limb, collar, the whole nine yards

Let their team worry about them since they can't even move. Can they breathe okay in all that? Doesn't it hurt?

Or maybe this is the first indication the other captives have as to just how dangerous this guy is

I love that trope so much! I get excited whenever I see it.

Like in Banana Fish where Ash has his hands behind him while all the other captives have them in front, because he’s deemed the bigger threat.
