I’ve been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard
Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.
Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.
Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.
SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.
SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.
Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.
Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of “how to draw” videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can’t make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.
Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.
Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.
Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here’s a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.
Hi, I think I saw your name in the credits as lead for the art team for the game Date Everything? If that's true, I just wanna say how much I absolutely LOVE your designs in there! I haven't had this much fun in a demo in a while but I've been laughing my ass off while playing it and 50% of that is due to gushing over how well all the designs for the characters are and how the details play into their concept. Chef's kiss to your creative mind, 10/10.

This year’s theme is a femme-focused dive into mythological fantasy, exploring how women and feminine figures are portrayed in myths, legends, and folklore. We’re looking for short comics, illustrations, and short stories that unpack the duality of these characters — the sacred and the dangerous, the divine and the monstrous.

TRAVEL is our topic for the Object Head Zine 2026 edition! Take a plane to the mountains, sail across the ocean to a different country, take a road trip to grandma’s house! Traveling isn’t just modes of transportation; it’s anything that is usually transported from one location to another. Going to the store is a form of traveling, commuting to work is traveling! ALL submissions will be accepted so long as they follow the guidelines below. Each person has a limit of up to 3 submissions. This will be a DIGITAL ZINE ONLY and will be available free upon completion (donation optional). The guidelines are as followed:
Illustration-quality works in either digital or traditional mediums. Both colour and b/w acceptable; background required. *BG can be as simple as a pattern or colour block! Avoid utilizing a camera to submit your images, please use a scanner.
The default size will be 6″x9″, 300 dpi (1800px x 2700px) but feel free to go larger or smaller, so long as it follows those proportions, within reason. Please work in a vertical format.
For consistency’s sake, keep faces to a minimum (You can have eye(s) or you can have mouth(s) but don’t have both in a humanoid arrangement.
Please go for original characters (or fanart of your friend’s characters).
If you want to include humans, that’s fine as well but keep the ratio of people to object heads 1:1. Same goes for non-travel object heads. If you want to include both travel object heads and humans in your image, make sure the majority goes to travel object heads!
Content should be at most PG-13: Romance is fine but after hours business should not be implied, Blood is fine but no gore. In the end, use your common sense.
Feel free to draw a comic or just an illustration! A comic counts as one submission.
Note that if a submission does not meet the above guidelines, I will either reject your submission or suggest improvements that would help your piece fulfill them. Drawn Through the Telephone - a new original concept zine - will be a free, digital anthology, containing both art and writing.
Contributors will submit a vague description of a piece of media they like, and this pitch will then be passed on to a different contributor to create an original work - without knowing what story inspired it. For example: Stardew Valley could be submitted as ‘main character moves to old family home, uncovers supernatural secrets and destroys local business’. A creator could turn this into an unwilling vampire hunter overturning the restaurant a coven uses as a front business to feed off locals.
