Genre: Fluff
Warnings: kind of cheesy, mildly suggestive
Word Count: 583
Author’s Note: I’ve been rewatching Scarlet Heart Ryeo, and I suppose it inspired me to write this little scenario for Haechan. I’ve been meaning to post something for him for awhile now. So I’m glad I finally got the chance to. Hope you guys like it and thank you for reading ^ ^
─❀*̥˚─❀*̥˚─❀*̥˚─❀*̥˚─❀*̥˚─❀*̥˚─❀*̥˚─❀*̥˚─❀*̥˚─❀*̥˚─❀*̥˚─
You weren’t sure how late in the night it was, but you didn’t really care. Right now, you were content with snuggling under a blanket with your boyfriend, your faces illuminated by the soft glow of the TV screen. You had nearly jumped up in excitement when you finally convinced Haechan to watch Scarlet Heart Ryeo with you. It was a drama you had been urging him to watch for ages, but it didn’t take long for him to become engrossed in the series as well.
The episode you were watching had reached a particularly emotional scene, where the main characters Hae Soo and Wang So shared a tender moment under the moonlight. Even though it was just a show, the genuine love between them was palpable. You could see it in their eyes. A love that was so sincere and intense that you couldn’t help but sigh wistfully.
Haechan’s eyes flickered from the television to you who was leaning on his shoulder. “What’s with the sigh?”
As he asked, another sigh escaped involuntarily. Without tearing your eyes away from the screen, you replied, “I kind of wish I had a romance like theirs.”
“Are you not satisfied with ours?” he asked, slightly amused.
You glanced at him, catching the hint of teasing in his voice. A smile crept your own lips as your fingers remained intertwined with his. “Well, I mean, it’s so dramatic and passionate. They go through so much, yet their love remains steadfast.”
A glint of mischief flashed over Haechan’s eyes as a playful smirk tugged at the corners of his lips. He leaned in closer, leaving little distance between you. The close proximity quickly made your cheeks flush with heat.
“I can give you that kind of romance,” he said confidently.
You raised an eyebrow, intrigued by his comment. But before you could say anything more, he captured your lips with his in a sudden, passionate kiss. His movements were smooth, his hand cupping your cheek with a gentle yet firm touch. Your initial surprise melted away as you closed your eyes and kissed him back, your hands finding their way to his shoulder.
Suddenly the drama faded into the background, leaving only the two of you and the crackling energy of the moment. Haechan’s kisses always had this warmth that made you feel all fuzzy on the inside. The tenderness of his lips moving against yours conveyed just how precious you were to him.
By the time you finally broke apart, the both of you were breathless. Haechan rested his forehead against yours, his eyes sparkling with affection.
“How was that for a start?” he whispered.
You laughed softly, still blushing profusely. “Hmm, I think you might be onto something,” you teased, trying to hide the racing of your heart.
“Good,” he said, his thumb gently tracing your cheek. “Because I plan on giving you a romance that’s better than any drama. One with its own epic moments and unforgettable memories.”
His words were playful, but you could hear the sincerity in them. You smiled, feeling a warmth spread through your chest.
“I think I’m already living it,” you whispered back, leaning in another kiss, this one softer but no less filled with love.
One thing you knew for sure, was that no k-drama could compare to the romance you and Haechan had.

Genre: Fluff
Warnings: slightly suggestive towards the end

Author’s Note: To be honest, I don’t think this is very good. This is the one idea that I kind of had to force out of myself. I haven’t had a lot of inspiration lately. So if guys have any ideas for scenarios with different dream members, feel free to send them in. Thank you for reading ^ ^

You stepped through the front door, the evening air lingered on your skin as you firmly closed the door behind you. Your purse returned to its place on the coat hanger, as you entered the living room where your husband was lounging comfortably on the couch with the TV remote in hand. His face lit up with a smile when he saw you, causing your heart to lighten a little. Despite being a little fatigued from your day, the sight of him always lifted your spirits.
Quickly, you slipped off your shoes and padded over to him, eager to be by his side and melt into his familiar embrace. Almost as if he read your mind, Jaemin set the remote aside as you approached, opening his arms to welcome you. Smiling back, you plopped down on the couch beside him, snuggling close as he instinctively wrapped an arm around your shoulders.
Your heart fluttered when you felt him press a kiss to your temple, his lips warm and soft against your skin. “Did you have a good time with your friend?” he asked, his voice a gentle rumble that resonated through you.
“It was nice,” you hummed, unable to hold back a weary sigh. “But my energy is drained. I think I hit my social limit at about two hours”
Jaemin chuckled in response to this, well aware of your social battery. He could always tell when you had reached your limit in a group by the way you slowly disengaged from the conversation and mindlessly played with his fingers.
“Do you ever get tired of me?” he asked, a teasing pout forming on his lips.
“No, I never feel drained with you,” you murmured, resting your head on his shoulder.
Jaemin’s smile deepened, feeling touched by the sincerity in your voice. He liked that he was the only person you felt the most comfortable around. Honestly, he felt the same way with you.
He gently tightened his embrace and whispered, “I’m glad to hear that.”
His eyes locked onto yours for a brief, intimate moment before leaning in to kiss you. Your lips met softly at first, a delicate brush that quickly deepened into something more passionate. Jaemin’s hands roamed over your back, drawing you closer to him. As he showed no signs of pulling away any time soon, your hands found their way to his chest, fingers curling into the fabric of his shirt.
As the kiss started to grow more heated, Jaemin pulled away momentarily, his breath coming in soft pants. “Are you too tired for this?” he asked, his eyes searching yours for reassurance.
You smiled shyly, a blush rising to your cheeks. Wrapping your arms around his neck, you spoke softly, “For you, never.”
Jaemin smiled, his lips curving into a slow, sensual grin that made your heart race. You gasped as he stood up and lifted you effortlessly into his arms before carrying you to the bedroom.
You had a feeling that tonight would be a little longer than you had planned. But these stolen moments with him were ones that you treasured.

Title: Sulky
Genre: Fluff
Warnings: mildly suggestive, a little making out towards the end
Word Count: 952
Author’s Note: Alright, I know I literally just posted something for Jeno a few days ago. But this idea was just living rent free in my mind, and I just couldn’t resist writing it. I know you guys like this stuff too, so I thought writing this couldn’t hurt. I’m Jaemin biased, but Jeno is just so cute especially when he’s sulky. Anyway hope you guys like it ^ ^

Now, it was no secret to anyone that Jeno got sulky easily. When you two first started seeing each other, you found it quite funny how things could so easily hurt such a tough, masculine guy. Of course, you’re usually able to provide him with enough reassurance to make him a smiley puppy again. Teasing your partner was never in your nature. But you’d occasionally step out of character just because Jeno’s reactions were hilarious.
The two of you were lounging on the couch in his apartment’s living room, mindlessly scrolling through your phones. You paused when you came across some photos from his recent concert. While you admired how fiercely handsome your boyfriend looked on stage, another member unintentionally caught your eye.
“Wah, Jaemin looks amazing in that stage outfit,” you remarked, showing him the picture. “I can’t imagine all the screams from fans when they saw his abs.”
Jeno glanced at the photo and shrugged, his expression unchanging. “I mean, it’s nothing new. Everyone knows Jaemin works out, so I don’t think that many people were surprised.”
At first, you didn’t even notice your boyfriend’s lack of interest in the subject, too preoccupied with scrolling through more photos of his attractive member. In fact, you found his comment a bit hard to believe.
“No, but the lighting from the stage makes you see how perfectly defined and sculpted his abs are!” you said in awe, as you came across a close-up picture that a fan had taken.
Your boyfriend’s grip tightened on his phone, and he shot you a sideways glance. To him, it was almost as if you had forgotten he was sitting right beside her.
“My stage outfit showed my abs too, you know,” he muttered.
The hint of sulkiness in his voice was something you caught immediately, and that’s when you realized he was jealous. Although it wasn’t your intention to make him feel this way, you couldn’t help but find the pout on his lips adorable. Deciding to push his limits just a little, you feigned obliviousness to his growing discomfort over your sudden interest in Jaemin.
Leaning back on the couch, you sighed. “Well yeah, but I’ve already seen your abs plenty of times. Not that I find them boring now, but…”
Jeno’s pout deepened and he whined softly, his jealousy now clearly evident. You bit your lip, stifling a laugh because he was just so endearing like this. However, your innocent teasing soon backfired.
Determined to make his point, he sat up and lifted his shirt, revealing his own well-defined abs, a testament to his consistent workouts. Before you could even say anything, he grabbed your hand and pressed it against his firm stomach with an intense gaze.
“Tell me, who do you prefer,” he demanded in a dark yet calm voice. “Jaemin or me?”
Your cheeks flushed a deep shade of red, and your breath slightly hitched at the sudden contact. Feeling the ridge of his muscles beneath your fingers quickly brought out your instinctive shyness. You rarely saw this possessive side of Jeno.
“Jeno…” you began, your voice barely above a whisper. You searched your brain for something to say, but you were too flustered to find the right words.
“That’s what I thought,” he interrupted, a satisfied smirk spreading across his face.
Before you could pull away, Jeno leaned in and captured your lips in a passionate kiss. His lips were soft yet demanding, a reminder that you belonged to him and him alone. As the moments passed and his lips showed no signs of moving, you closed your eyes and gently placed your hand under his jaw. One of his hands was already on your waist and as he felt you kiss back, he pulled you closer and deepened the kiss with a tender urgency.
His lips moved against yours hungrily, the only sound of the room the soft smacking of kisses. The kiss deepened, and you felt his tongue gently part your lips, exploring with a slow, deliberate intensity. Your lips molded together, warm and yielding, and the sensation sent shivers down your spine. The subtle, rhythmic movement of his mouth against yours was intoxicating, and you couldn’t help but respond with equal fervor.
When you finally parted, you needed a moment to catch your breath. Jeno’s gaze remained fixed on you, silently seeking reassurance, his eyes revealing a hint of vulnerability.
“Of course I prefer you,” you replied, looking at him as if the answer were obvious. “Jaemin’s visuals might be impressive, but you know I only have eyes for you.”
Jeno’s grin widened, and he wrapped his arms around you, bringing you back to your previous cuddling position. “Good,” he said, sinking comfortably into the couch cushions with you.
Soon after, his tone turned playful yet still a bit possessive. “But I’m still putting you on a Na Jaemin ban from now on.”
The lingering sulkiness in his comment made you want to roll your eyes. But instead, you laughed and rested your head on his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart beneath your ear. You knew that protesting would be useless, and he’d get over it eventually.
Yet, you also knew that what you and Jeno had was unbreakable. With how much you two loved each other, you were inseparable, no matter how sulky he got.

Title: Crushed
Genre: College AU
Warnings: a love triangle is heavily implied, kissing is involved. reader is little insecure
Word Count: ~14k
Author’s Note: Like my other lengthier works, this story took ages to complete. I actually started writing it last year and the motivation to keep going was very slow. But I was determined to finish this story and now it’s finally done! I know love triangles are cliché, but I’ve always wanted to use it in a story. I feel like not many people will be interested in reading this story, but I do hope that those who do will enjoy it. Thank you for reading and please leave comments ^ ^

~ cats and coffee
“Hyung, Hyung—that’s her!” The younger one exclaimed in a hushed tone, shaking the elder’s shoulder.
Jeno’s eyes shifted upward to you standing behind the counter, donning a barista uniform. Your dark hair was neatly tied in a half ponytail and the round, silver-rimmed glasses added a scholarly charm, partially concealing your features. While your appearance might not be the most striking, there was a soft warmth about you that made others feel at ease.
“Who? (Y/n)?” He repeated, turning back to his friend.
Jisung nodded with a dreamy look in his eyes. “Isn’t she pretty?”
“Yeah I guess so,” Jeno shrugged. “Is she the reason you’ve been coming here so often?”
The younger boy’s cheeks tinged red as he bashfully rubbed the back of his neck. “Maybe…”
Jeno never thought he’d see the day when Park Jisung—who used to run away from any girl who looked his way— had a crush. It felt…weird.
“How do you know her?” Jisung then asked, brows furrowing in curiosity.
Leaning back in his seat, Jeno replied, “She joined Jaemin’s club this year. I volunteer with her at the pet shelter.”
To be honest, Jeno hadn’t paid a great deal of attention to you before. The first time he saw you was during the first week of the semester when you joined the animal volunteer club, which he was a board member for. Aside from first-day introductions, you appeared rather reserved during meetings and often kept to yourself.
Given Jeno’s own introverted nature, it took some time for him to actually talk to you. Even though he was in his third year of college, he still got shy when it came to meeting new people. In fact, it wasn’t until the two of you were assigned together to work with the cats that you were compelled to become more acquainted. Your shared love for the felines definitely eased the initial awkwardness. Despite this newly formed connection, his interactions with you stayed within the club’s activities.
Jisung gaped at this newfound information. “Seriously? You never told me that before!”
“Well I didn’t know you were interested in her,” Jeno teased, taking a sip of his iced americano.
Just as they were talking about you, you caught Jeno’s eyes and sent a kind smile in his direction. He observed as you exchanged a few words with your coworker and then walked over to their table.
“Hi Sunbae, sorry for not noticing you earlier,” you apologized sheepishly, briefly adjusting the frames of your glasses.
“No worries. You looked busy over there,” Jeno assured you, before gesturing towards his friend across the table. “This is my friend, Park Jisung, by the way.”
Feeling a bit awkward now that he was in the presence of his crush, Jisung managed a small wave. “Hi,” he mumbled.
The warm smile you kindly offered gradually put him at ease. “Hey, you’re a dance major right?”
“Yeah, how did you know?” The boy’s eyes widened, raising a hand over his mouth in surprise that you recognized him.
You chuckled a hint of bashfulness in your demeanor. “I saw you dance at the freshman retreat. You were so cool, I could never do something like that.”
Observing the blush on Jisung’s cheeks intensify, Jeno couldn’t help but smirk involuntarily. “Oh—thanks. I’m glad you liked it,” Jisung said shyly, scratching his head.
You glanced at the clock on the wall, realizing you couldn’t keep talking forever. A part of you felt guilty for having to cut the conversation short. But you also didn’t want to leave your coworker by herself for too long.
“Well, I better get back to work,” you sighed, briefly shifting your focus back at the two boys with a small smile. “I’ll see you at tomorrow’s club meeting, Sunbae. And it was nice meeting you, Jisung-ssi.”
As you excused yourself, Jeno and Jisung exchanged glances, both wearing smiles that lingered even after she left.
“She’s exactly how I imagined her to be. Kind and sweet,” Jisung said, the dreamy expression returning to his face. “Do you think I have a chance with her?”
Jeno shrugged, lifting his drink again. “Yeah, why not? You should try getting to know her more though.”
“How am I supposed to do that when I get so nervous when she’s around?” Jisung groaned, holding his head in his hands.
Jeno watched his friend sympathetically, unsure of what to say. It wasn’t like he had much experience with girls either—not because he had some irrational fear of them like Jisung did. In fact, several girls eyed him on campus. But he just wasn’t interested in any of them.
Suddenly, a light bulb went off in Jisung’s head. “Wait, can you help me get with her, Hyung?”
The male across from him raised an eyebrow. “Why me?”
“You said you’re in the same club as her. Maybe you could invite her to hang out with us sometime,” Jisung suggested.
“We’re not really that close,” Jeno mumbled, contemplating his friend’s request. He’s never been asked to play the matchmaker role before, so he wasn’t sure if he could do a good job. However, he couldn’t resist the hopeful look in the younger one’s eyes.
“Please do this for me, Hyung. I’ll do anything you want!”
The desperation in the boy’s plea caused Jeno to sigh in defeat. “Okay, I guess I can help,” he relented, crossing his arms. “But you have to buy me snacks for the rest of this month.”
Jisung pumped his fist in the air. “No problem! You’re the best, Jeno Hyung.”
Back behind the counter, your eyes flitted in the boy’s direction again. A smile crept on your lips, noticing the animated expressions on Jisung’s face in contrast to Jeno’s calm demeanor. They seemed like really good friends as if nothing could tear them apart.
Little did they know that their friendship would be tested.
Headcanon: Type of Boyfriends
Genre: Fluff, a little angsty in some parts
Warnings: light mentions of anxiety and feeling insecure
Word Count: ~2.7k
Author’s Note: I was actually planning on writing something for Haechan today. But I had the content for this headcanon pre-planned for quite some time now, so I just thought it would be good to actually write it. Also, I haven’t been making a lot of group posts lately—so this is me making up for it lol. I know this idea isn’t super original, but I wanted to make my version of it. I’m sorry if the scenarios are written badly, but I still thank you for reading ^ ^

mark
Mark is the type of boyfriend who feels like your best friend but with the added warmth of kisses and hugs. He loves taking you on spontaneous midnight drives, where carpool karaoke becomes your shared stage, belting out your favorite tunes together. Music is a big part of your relationship, with shared Spotify playlists that reflect your combined tastes and moments. Whenever you’re feeling down, he grabs his guitar and serenades you with Bruno Mars or Day6 songs, lifting your spirits with his husky yet gentle voice. He’s also the type of boyfriend who writes songs about you, with lyrics so touching they bring you to tears.
He’s the type of boyfriend who attempts to cook for you but ultimately results in a comedy of errors. But they always end in laughter as you step in to save the kitchen from further disaster. His cooking skills would likely improve over time, with your guidance. You’d patiently be teaching him the proper way to cut vegetables or how much seasoning should be put in a dish. But he’s the type of boyfriend to lose focus because he keeps getting distracted by how pretty you look. And then you’d blush profusely when you caught his gaze and scold him for not listening.
He’s the type of boyfriend to give you bone-crushing hugs whenever he finds something you did cute. He especially does this when you get annoyed at him for something, finding the furrow of your brows and pouty lips to be so adorable. He’s the type to go in for long kisses after being away from you for a long time. His career often keeps him away, leaving him longing for the moments he can be with you. He’s the type of boyfriend to give kisses that are so warm and tender, filled with a depth of emotion that speaks volumes about how much he cherishes you. Each kiss feels like a promise, a reassurance that no matter how far apart you are, his heart is always with you.
He’s the type of boyfriend who would geek out with you over shared interests, like Spiderman. Whether it’s discussing the latest movie or comic book, these moments of shared enthusiasm bring you even closer. He’s the type of boyfriend who would watch k-dramas with you and enjoy ranting with you about the characters. These shared experiences, filled with laughter, debates, and discussions deepen your bond and create fond memories to look back on.
All in all, Mark is the type of boyfriend who is a unique blend of friendship, romance, and genuine affection that makes him the perfect partner, someone who brings joy, music, and a sense of adventure into your life.

Headcanon: Back Scratches
Genre: Fluff, slight angst in some of them
Warnings: might be mildly suggestive in Mark’s and Haechan’s? mention of anxiety in Jisung’s
Word Count: ~2.4k
Author’s Note: Okay, I know I’ve already written something about this which was actually the first headcanon I wrote for 7Dream on here. It was also one of the firsts requests I received. But I wanted to write an improved version of it, and I really do find the idea cute. So I hope you guys enjoy this and thank you for reading ^ ^

mark
Back scratches with Mark were initially quite amusing, mainly because he’s not used to asking for help. The first time you noticed his struggle was when you glanced up from your book after hearing his grunts of frustration as he tried in vain to reach the middle of his back. His eyes met yours, and he laughed awkwardly. You then stood up from your couch to approach him from behind and scratch the exact spot he needed without saying a word. After that, Mark realized it was silly to be embarrassed about asking when you clearly didn’t mind.
From there, Mark grew to love having you scratch his back. Not just when he had an itch, but also after a long day of work. The feeling of your perfectly manicured nails running along his back, above the fabric of his shirt, really helped him unwind after hours of dance practice and recording sessions. When it came to these moments, you’d start with light, gentle strokes where your nails would barely graze his skin, sending a shiver down his spine. Gradually, you’d increase the pressure and use slow deliberate motions to trace soothing patterns across his back. You always paid more attention to the areas around his shoulder blades and the small of his back, knowing that was where the tension often built up the most.
Mark would close his eyes and lean into your touch, unable to stifle a groan as your fingertips moved in circular motions, working out the knots and easing his muscles. At first, the sounds Mark made during these back scratch sessions left you blushing, though he was completely oblivious to the effect he had on you. However, you soon became accustomed to the dramatic moans that came from your boyfriend regularly. Though you often rolled your eyes when he gave such reactions, you could never bring yourself to tease him.
More often than not, Mark would talk to you as you scratched his back. And you’d listen quietly as he spoke about whatever was weighing on his mind. A smile was always brought to your lips when you’d hear his muffled voice due to his face being squished against the pillows. You often worried about him being such a workaholic, so you were especially happy that you could help him relax. For Mark, just you being with him meant so much more than you knew.

Title: Glasses
Genre: Fluff, kinda angsty
Warnings: mildly suggestive, making out, reader is insecure
Word Count: 968
Author’s Note: This is another story idea I had in my works in progress, and I’ve finally written it. I’m also just happy that I get to post something for Chenle, since it’s been long overdue. Hope you guys enjoy it. Thank you so much for reading ^ ^
➴➵➶➴➵➶➴➵➶➴➵➶➴➵➶➴➵➶➴➵➶➴➵➶➴➵➶➴➵➶➴➵➶➴➵➶➴➵➶➴➵➶
Curled up in the corner of your sofa with a book in hand was your idea of a perfect Sunday afternoon. You knew it was such a stereotypical thing for an introvert, but it was something you truly enjoyed. While you weren’t overly receptive to teasing, you refused to let that risk intrude on your comfort zone. Your boyfriend, on the other hand, was determined to be the exception.
Your heart nearly leaped into your throat when Chenle pounced at the opportunity to wrap his arms around you from behind, pulling you into a tight hug. For a second, you almost forgot that he let himself into your studio apartment half an hour ago.
This was a normal occurrence in your relationship, where he’d randomly drop by your place and do his own thing. If he wasn’t talking to you, he was bickering with Jisung over text or watching the Golden States Warrior highlights on his phone. That’s why you thought it’d be fine to carry on with your peaceful activity.
Turning your head in surprise, a soft chuckle escaped you. “What’s gotten into you?”
“Why?” Chenle asked, feigning an innocent tone. “Can I not be affectionate with my girlfriend?”
Without a doubt, Chenle was an amazing boyfriend, and you loved him to death. However when it came to physical touch, he was never the clingy type. You suspected his behavior stemmed from guilt over his increasing absence due to work, yet his pride wouldn’t let him admit it. While physical touch wasn’t necessarily your top love language, turning down Chenle’s affection would be foolish.
A smile formed on your face as you set your book aside and gently reached out to stroke his hair. “No, you can…”
He drew back slightly to catch you shyly lowering your gaze, finding your reaction utterly adorable. Returning your smile, he cradled your rosy cheeks in his hands and leaned in to plant a kiss to your lips. Initially, he intended it to be a single kiss. But he quickly realized that one wasn’t enough to satisfy him.
Title: A Little Help
Genre: Fluff
Warnings: mentions of kissing – light makeout session, suggestive dialogue (but nothing crazy)
Word Count: ~1k
Author’s Note: This imagine was an idea I had for a very long time, but I just never got to writing it. For awhile, I went back and forth as to which member to give this story to. Ultimately, I’m weak for Na Jaemin, so I chose him. I know you guys like this sort of stuff too, so I hope you enjoy it (not too much though lol). Please look forward to my future works as well. Thank you for reading ^ ^

Jaemin made his way into your cozy living room with a steaming mug of lemon tea in hand. His eyes quickly found you seated on the floor near the coffee table. Despite the dim lighting in the room, your face was illuminated by the soft glow of the laptop in front of you. Jaemin started to smile, observing how focused you were on writing the story you’d been working on for months. However, his smile froze when he noticed you nibbling your lower lip and sighing in frustration.
Quietly, he shuffled over to sit beside you on the carpet and carefully set down the drink on the table. You picked up on his presence immediately and glanced up at him with a small smile.
“Thank you,” you said, curling your fingers around the handle of the mug before taking a long sip of the warm beverage.
He instinctively reached a hand to tenderly brush a loose strand of hair behind your ear. “Everything okay?” he asked in the calm, low-toned voice he typically used during late-night conversations with you.
You hummed in response, holding back from sighing again. “Yeah. I’m just stuck on this certain part of my story.”
“What’s it supposed to be?” Jaemin tilted his head, his dark brown eyes filled with a blend of curiosity and concern. His innocent question unintentionally made you hesitate, your eyes flickering back to the screen before meeting his gaze once more.
“Well, this is when my main characters are supposed to have their first kiss,” you explained, already feeling the heat rushing to your cheeks. “And for some reason, I’m struggling with the technicalities of it. It’s just frustrating because usually I don’t have much of a problem with these scenes.”
Although you felt silly admitting this to your boyfriend (of all people), your frustration outweighed your embarrassment. Jaemin was the type of person who never seemed fazed by anything, but you still expected him to tease you.
Instead, Jaemin wore a thoughtful expression, arms crossed over his knees. “Why don’t you try acting out the kiss with me? It might help you get a better feel for it.”
Eyes widening in surprise at his suggestion, you began to protest. “I-I don’t know, Nana. I mean, that’s a bit…” you trailed off, shyness instinctively taking over.
But then you paused, considering his idea for a moment. It wasn’t actually that bad and might help you with this little dilemma. After all, he was your boyfriend, so being close to each other wasn’t out of the norm. Certainly when you were dating Na Jaemin, possibly the most affectionate man you knew.
“Hm, I guess it can’t hurt to try,” you conceded, moving your hands away from your laptop.
Title: For Once
Genre: Angst, friends to lovers (kinda)
Warnings: mentions of alcohol, reader being tipsy, insecurities, depressive thoughts (yay)
Word Count: ~1.06k
Author’s Note: I actually came up with this story idea awhile ago, two months maybe? And I know I’ve written a similar story for Jeno before, so I tried to change it up a bit. But for some reason, I just feel like Jeno fits the friends to lovers trope really well. He’s the type of person you could trust, and quietly care about you. Anyway, I hope for this story to reach out to those who might be hurting alone. If you are, you don’t have to be. I hope there’s someone in your life you can lean on. Thank you for reading ^ ^

The exact time your feet led you away from the party and out to the balcony with a cocktail in hand, you weren’t quite sure. Maybe it was half an hour after you arrived at Chenle’s house, maybe even less. You doubt anyone even noticed your absence, as you rarely came to these social gatherings anyway. To your shame, the only reason you accepted your friend’s invitation to his college party was for the alcohol. However, in contrast to the boisterous intoxicated chatter and laughter from inside the house, you opted to indulge in the effects of drinking strictly alone.
With a firm grip on the cocktail glass, you leaned against the balcony railing, allowing yourself to admire the night sky. Cityscapes have become a source of solace over the years, providing enough distraction for your thoughts to get lost in the beauty of the evening. The twinkling lights of neighboring buildings and the ceaseless stream of cars below added to the aesthetic.
Realizing how pathetically lonely you were, a single sigh escaped your lips before you downed the remnants of your drink. Contemplating the bittersweet nature of the moment, you sensed a lingering gaze upon you. Turning around self-consciously, you found Jeno closing the balcony door before joining you, standing silently by your side.
Honestly, Jeno’s presence would have caught you off guard just a month ago. However, new emotions have recently been stirring between the two of you, though neither of you was sure how best to broach the subject without letting things get awkward. Yet, his friendship was something you hadn’t fully realized how much you cherished.
“I had a feeling you’d be out here,” Jeno spoke first. “You okay?”
You hummed in reply, without meeting his eyes just yet. “Yeah. I just needed some fresh air.”

The Totoro lamp on the accent table next to the television cast a soft glow that warmed the living room of your once lonely apartment. Cozied up at the edge of the gray loveseat, you sat with your knees pulled close to your chest, allowing your thoughts to wander as they often did past 10 p.m. However, those thoughts were interrupted by the light padding sound of slippers against the wooden floor panels. Soon after, the couch cushion next to you sank under added weight.
Then you felt the arms of your beloved wrap his arms snugly around your waist, and his warm lips planted a lingering kiss on your cheek without wasting another second. “Missed you,” he whispered, his voice slightly tickling your ear.
The corners of your lips curled into a fond smile, and you turned into his embrace so you could face the sweet man properly. You nestled comfortably between his legs, letting your hand naturally find its way to the back of his neck while your other hand brushed against the left side of his face.
“I missed you too, Nana,” you murmured, tenderly caressing his cheek. He leaned into your touch instantly, savoring it.
The simple action was enough to stir a flurry of emotions within you. In the brief moments of silence that passed, you studied your handsome boyfriend as if searching for any changes that might have occurred in the three weeks you had been apart. Other than his white-blond hair having grown longer so quickly after cutting it, you didn’t find any significant changes. Jaemin’s big beautiful eyes were as captivating as ever, complemented by his flirtatiously long eyelashes. His dark eyebrows were still perfectly arched, framing his expressive eyes, and his soft pink lips retained their subtle, endearing pout.
A small sigh from you couldn’t be suppressed, the sight of him having the same effect on you as always. Although, deep down you knew his kind-hearted personality made him even more attractive in your eyes.
“What’s on your mind, princess?” Jaemin asked in his dreamy deep voice that carried a mellowness at night. His eyes held a curiosity to them, and he didn’t need to say anything for you to know he was referring to your earlier distraction.
You hesitated for a second, before responding. “I was just thinking about relationships.”
Checking Jaemin’s reaction before continuing, you saw that his attention remained fully captured on you. The way he listened intently made your heart flutter so easily, a feeling you couldn’t quite explain.
“You know, I was watching YouTube before bed the other day,” you began to explain. “And I came across a few shorts about couples talking about how the first year is supposed to be the honeymoon phase, and then they start arguing a lot in the second year and often break up.”
Jaemin nodded, a gentle smile tugging on his lips. “I see. What’s your take on that, love?”
Although you had the answer to his question in your head, it took a moment for you to piece it together. “Hm, I don’t think there really should be a honeymoon phase. I mean, that’s not really the case for us.”
Almost instinctively, you glanced down at the diamond ring on your finger, its facets catching the light perfectly. A few days before Jaemin had to leave for Taipei with the Dreamies, he surprised you with a simple yet intimate proposal.
“Sure, we’ve both had to work on some things,” you continued, fixing your gaze on him once more. “But even after two years together, you still make me feel like a giddy teenager with a huge crush.”
Jaemin chuckled, his laughter causing a blush to tinge your cheeks. You knew how silly your words sounded, but they reflected your true feelings. However, it was rare for you to verbally express this to him. Before any doubts about being this honest could creep in, Jaemin’s hand moved to lovingly brush a lock of hair behind your ear.
“I feel exactly the same as you. Every day I discover something new I love about you, and every kiss we share feels just as special as our first,” he said sincerely.
A part of you sensed he said the last sentence as an excuse to kiss you, and sure enough, he leaned in to plant one on your lips shortly after. Even though you lost count of how many times Jaemin has kissed you, you could agree that all of them were cherishable.
Pulling away, you scrunched your nose slightly with a hint of skepticism in your voice. “Are we being too cheesy?”
If anyone had walked in and witnessed this, you were certain that they would cringe at hearing all the sweet, sappy things exchanged between the two of you. You could practically hear the fake gagging noises from his members.
“I’d like to think of it more as us being extra romantic,” Jaemin replied, wearing a playful smile that you secretly swooned over.
The conversation naturally faded into the background, as you lost yourselves in each other’s embrace once more. His lips moved against yours slowly, tenderly, without ever making you fear that he’d pull away anytime soon. One hand held your back securely, while the other gently cupped your face. Your fingers lightly ran through his light-colored strands as you melted into his touch.
“Gosh, I just want to marry you already,” Jaemin exhaled, a hint of sulkiness in his tone.
Despite his words causing you to blush profusely again, you relaxed into his arms and appreciated this quiet moment surrounded by love and warmth. Maybe you guys were pretty cheesy. But that didn’t make your feelings for each other any less real.
Being in love with Jaemin was a feeling you hoped would last forever.
