Hey, I know I am not your target demographic. However, I appreciate the work and effort you put into spreading queer literature. I was wondering if you have read or heard of "Princess of Dorsa", it ticks a lot of the boxes on your bingo sheet and wanted to share. I loved it and wish more people would find and read it.

  • Hey! Thanks for the recommendation!! The book sounds really interesting and we do try to highlight independently published works too but they are often harder to find.

If anyone was looking for a completed fantasy series to check out this might be for you!

    MOBY DYKE - KRISTA BURTON

    Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐⭐️

The subtitle of this novel, ‘An Obsessive Quest To Track Down The Last Remaining Lesbian Bars In America’ really explains what this travelogue is all about.

Moby Dyke makes me, an introverted homebody, yearn to go to a lesbian bar. I literally started figuring out plans to do to the nearest one after I finished reading. I really don’t know what higher praise this book could get from me.

I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

    MORTAL FOLLIES - ALEXIS HALL

    Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐⭐️⭐️

I want Robin the Hobgoblin to narrate my life (or I guess not, since that would mean some bad stuff is going down haha). Going into this I was expecting a recency romance but what I got instead was a funny book with curses and characters I want to adopt (looking at you Miss Bickle) with a generous side of sapphic regency romance.

I definitely recommend it and in fact have started talking it up already to anyone who will listen.

Thanks to Random House/Del Ray for the eARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

THAT SUMMER FEELING - BRIDGET MORRISSEY

    Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐⭐️

That Summer Feeling is a fun sapphic romance. Garland and Stevie were likable and had great chemistry.  Overall I enjoyed it! It made me want to go back to adult summer camp (let’s go A-Camp!), and I had a good time with the story but felt it started a little slowly to earn that last star.

Thanks to Berkley Publishing Group for an eARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Tales of a Sea Monster / / Sapphic Original Fairy Tale

“Aislin of Tjena,” the woman said, her voice seeming to appear in Alora’s mind as her lips didn’t move.

“Alora,” Alora corrected, coughing water from her lungs. Grandma Roan would probably tell her not to correct a ghost, but Alora wasn’t exactly thinking clearly at the moment.

“Aislin of Tjena,” the woman repeated, seeming not to have heard Alora at all. “You will bring me the heart of the Witch of the Deep.”

    “What?” Alora wheezed.

“You will bring me the heart of the Witch of the Deep, or I will take yours.” The woman grabbed Alora by her collar and dragged her to her feet. Then, she thrust her hand into Alora’s chest, meeting no resistance of bone or skin at all. Alora wasn’t sure how, but she could feel the woman’s cold fingertips brushing against the beating muscle of her heart. They closed around it, giving it one tight, painful squeeze that had Alora gasping. “You have until the blood moon rises.”
