Echoes of the Past Trade Show in Oshkosh
Wm. Booth, Draper will only have 2 tables for this show with limited stock. If there’s something you’d like us to bring please email ahead. Echoes of the Past trade show includes merchants & classes for reenactors, dealers, educators, related crafts people, historians & the general public interested in the mid 1700s to the 1860s. It’s open to the public Saturday 9-5 & Sunday 9-3 with a $5.00 door fee for everyone over 10 years of age. Food is available on site and parking is free.
March 8 – 9
New England Colonial Trade Fair
Over 40 vendors providing products from the 17th, 18th & 19th century attend this event but this will be the first year Wm. Booth, Draper will be present. It’s open Saturday 9-5 & Sunday 9-2, it costs $5 at the door to enter.

Kalamazoo Living History Trade Show
This is the largest indoor trade show in the Midwest with hundreds of merchants and classes providing goods for pre 1890s reenactors, dealers, educators, related crafts people, historians & the general public.

Fort Frederick
This event in Big Pool, Maryland represents eastern North America from 1730 to 1790. At the fair you will see merchants, traders, trades people, street vendors, entertainers, individuals, groups, military units, and American Indians portraying the 1730s up to the early republic.
May 3 – 4
Revolutionary War Days, Mount Vernon
This includes a full military encampment with all the buildings open for tours including the Museum of the American Revolution’s replica of General Washington’s War Tent, which served as the office & sleeping quarters while commander of the Continental Army. Food is available on site & normal fees apply.
May 16 – 18
Patriots Along the Perkiomen
At Pennypacker Mills Historic Site, PA a Revolutionary War encampment. This weekend of history & excitement will feature live demonstrations, musicians, speakers & much more. There will be activities for the whole family.

Spirit of Vincennes
In, Vincennes, IN across the street from George Rogers Clark National Monument there’s a large number of trades people working their craft. Local organizations provide food & volunteers have activities for children while entertainment perform at several stages. Two cannon demonstrations take place with military tactical demonstrations directly afterwards. At the same time on Park Service property, there’s a large Revolutionary War encampment. This is a huge event for the area bringing in approximately 1,000 costumed participants. While the Park Service Visitor Center, monument and encampment is free, there’s a small fee to enter the trades area.
June 21 – 22
250th Anniversary Battle of Bunker Hill, MA
The recreation of the battle will take place at Stage Fort Park – 24 Hough Ave Gloucester, MA 01930 because the original site his been so modified from what it was & is now heavily populated. This event attempts to accurately recreate the events of the battle as closely as may be.
June 28 – 29
246th Battle of Monmouth, CT
This is a British Brigade & Continental Line event that tends to be quite large. The amphitheater type battlefield allows for great viewing by the public although there is little shade .
July 4 – July 6
Siege of Niagara 1759, NY
A reenactment of the French & Indian War and Old Fort Niagara’s largest event of the year. If you have never been to Fort Niagara this is worth a visit.
August 2 – 3
Redcoats & Rebels
Encamped on the Village Common of Old Sturbridge Village hundreds of recreated soldiers & civilians from the American Revolution. Visitors can explore exhibits, galleries & demonstrations & talk with costumed historians about everyday life in early New England, as well as tour the camps, witness recreated skirmishes & battles, see special presentations, chat with guest craftspeople, & enjoy fife & drum music. Old Sturbridge Village will have extended hours until 8:00 giving more time to explore.

The Fair at New Boston, Springfield, OH
A 1790 to 1810 early republic trade fair with lots of good demonstrators & merchants. This is a large event with three working taverns, a coffee house, livestock & great entertainment. This fair is all about working trades & the demonstrations & products available are something to experience.

Return to No. 4: Revolutionary War Weekend, Charlestown, NH
This is a mid size event with many demonstrations in the recreated station which includes a bake oven & many rooms to explore. There are a fair number of tradespeople selling wares.

Colonial Faire and Muster of Fyfe & Drum
At the historic Longfellow’s Wayside Inn in Sudbury, Massachusetts have a full day of music, muskets, history, & fun. The Sudbury Colonial Faire & Fife & Drum Muster opens at 10:00 am with a Colonial encampment, militia & crafts demonstrations, & contradancing. The muster will start at noon. We expect dozens of colonial & craft vendors & 25 fife & drum corps.

Mississinewa 1812, Marion, IN
Now moved to the new location, Ahsenionki Miami for “place of the stone.” Phonetically, pronounced “uh-say-nee-on-gee” this site is along the banks of the Mississinewa River with woods & a lake that will serve well to commemorate the significant battle that took place near the site. In the years past this has been a huge event with crafts people from all over interpreting their crafts & great outpouring of local support. Usually 1812 regiments from Canada attend this event making it the largest 1812 event in the United States.

Feast of the Hunter’s Moon, Lafayette, IN
Feast of the Hunters’ Moon at Fort Ouiatenon is a mid 18th century annual fall gathering of French & native American people at a fur trading outpost that has continued for 58 years. There are many shops & food to choose from.

Battle of Red Horse Tavern, Sudbury, MA
This one day event takes place at what Longfellow called The Wayside Inn. Although the inn was a meeting place for meetings & a resting place for travelers during the American Revolution, no battle took place here. Nonetheless, a battle is recreated before the soldiers adjourn to sing in the operating tavern.
