Winn-Dixie

Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. is an American supermarket chain based in Jacksonville, Florida. Winn-Dixie has ranked number 24 in the 2010 "Top 75 North American Food Retailers" based on FY2009 estimated sales of $7.3 billion by Supermarket News. and was ranked the 45th largest retailer in the United States based on 2012 revenues by Stores magazine. Winn-Dixie currently operates 485 stores in Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, and Mississippi. The company has had its present name since 1955 and traces its roots back to 1925.

Prior to filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2005, Winn-Dixie was listed in the S&P 500 and had been traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "WIN" since February 18, 1952. The company was traded under the symbol "WINN" on the NASDAQ before its purchase. The bankruptcy also left the chain with fewer stores than it had in the late 1960s.

They are known for their private label Chek brand soft drinks, which are produced in over 20 different flavors plus diet and caffeine-free varieties—one of the widest assortments. They have also been known as "The Beef People". In its advertising and print media Winn-Dixie now uses the brand promises of "Fresh Checked Every Day" in its Jacksonville DMA, "Getting Better All The Time" in its locations in Central Florida, "El Sabor De Tu Pais", or "The Flavor Of Your Country", in its Miami area stores, and "Local Flavor Since 1956" in its Louisiana area stores. Winn-Dixie is also known for their slogan in Florida, "Beef, it's what's for dinner."

BI-LO 200

The BI-LO 200 was a former NASCAR Busch Series event held from 1983–2004, and was always run as an accompanying race to the Southern 500. When the Southern 500 was dropped from the schedule and Darlington's Busch Series schedule was reduced to one race, this race was removed in favor of the O'Reilly Auto Parts Challenge at Texas Motor Speedway because of the Ferko lawsuit.

Mark Martin led all drivers in race wins with five. Only two other drivers, Harry Gant and Jeff Burton, won multiple BI-LO 200s, with both drivers winning three times.

Advance Auto 500

The Advance Auto 500 was a NASCAR Busch Series stock car race held at Martinsville Speedway, in Martinsville, Virginia. Originally a Late Model race when it began in 1970 as part of the Late Model and Modified Doubleader, it joined the Budweiser Late Model Sportsman touring series in 1982 (the original year), and remained a part of the series through 1994. Following the 1994 season, both of Martinsville's races, the Miller 500 and the Advance Auto 500, were switched to Late Model Only formats (see ValleyStar Credit Union 300 for details on the Late Model portion of this race). The Advance Auto 500 served as the final race of the season for the series for ten years, from 1982 through 1991.

The race changed distances several times in its history. From its inception until 1984, the twin feature races was 250 laps for each division, covering 131.2 miles (211.1 km). When both the Modified and Late Model Sportsman cars had both become touring format races, the local Late Model feature reduced the Modified and Busch features in 1985 to 200 laps, 105.2 miles (169.3 km). After Modifieds were dropped in 1993 in light of early 1990's safety issues, the distance was increased to 300 laps, 157.8 miles (254.0 km), while the Late Model race increased to 200 laps, where it remains.
