COMMISSIONS BY WOLF-RAYET LAW

Illustrator & writer from metro Detroit. I like to make comics, write stories & characters, and draw a lot of fanart. I'm also a hobbyist animator when the mood strikes me. I have an eclectic and inconsistent style, but I lean more into being a cartoonist by nature.This is a directory for my commission information. I mainly accept commissions through Ko-fi, but you will find further information here.

TERMS OF SERVICE

If you're curious or unsure about anything, just ask or discuss with me!

FOR U, I WILL DRAW:

  • humans, humanoids, etc.

  • furries, scalies, etc.

  • animals, creatures, beasts, etc.

  • any type of fantasy race/creature or etc.

  • literally any species. including stuff like fish & invertebrates. please ask or just try me i literally draw everything lol

  • real life pets.

  • original characters, fan characters, etc.

  • fanart (whether i personally know it or not).

  • robots, mech stuff, etc (i'm likely to ask you to pay extra due to complexity, though).

  • sfw/G-rated ship art, romantic themes (any type of pairing is ok).

  • partial nudity*.

  • suggestive themes**.

  • blood, violence, mild gore***.

  • weapons of any complexity. i like to draw sword & gun & stuff so don't be shy lol

  • characters of any age & body type.

  • basically anything i don't specify below.

*i won't draw genitals, anything else is ok though.
**i can be a bit selective with suggestive comms. some things make me uncomfortable or it's just not something i'm into and i'd rather not draw it or talk about it. please don't take it personally if i deny you, but don't be afraid to ask.
***gory comms are very dependent on location. i won't draw anything involving eyes, for example.

FOR U, I WON'T DRAW:

  • characters with no visual references (for example, i will not draw something you just describe through text)*.

  • real life people (including yourself).

  • sensitive, ideological, political, etc topics. please use basic discretion.

  • full nudity.

  • explicit sexual content.

  • heavy gore.

  • unsanitary themes.

  • fetish art (clean or otherwise, and please don't try to trick me. i can tell).

  • NFTs or anything related.

*an exception is if you're commissioning me to make a character design for you, of course. but i will still ask you for visual references like species, body type, etc.

If I do not want to draw your order, I will just let you know. On the very off chance i deny you, please don't ask me to elaborate, I promise it's nothing personal.Certain complex design elements may cost extra, such as robotic/mechanical features, crystalline features, armor, a heavily detailed outfit, etc. In these cases, I will let you know and ask that you pay a bit extra if you're ok with that. If you've already paid through Ko-fi, I'll still contact you about it and you're free to get a refund if you don't want to pay the extra complexity fee.

PAYMENT INFO

▪ USD only. Full payment up-front.▪ I do offer refunds, but not for finished or mostly finished pieces. If you want one then you'll have to let me know early.▪ My commissions are for private use only. For commercial use, then you'll have to contact me to discuss further.▪ I accept orders via Ko-fi or PayPal invoice. You can either order from me directly through Ko-fi, or contact me via e-mail to discuss an invoice (see my contact page for more information).▪ If paying via PayPal invoice, you will also have to pay the transaction fee. I will always specify the fee amount when I give you a price quote for transparency's sake.▪ Tips are always appreciated.

GENERAL TERMS

▪ You must be at least 18 years old to commission me.▪ Dimensions and etc of my pieces will vary as being "industry standard" is not something I care for as an artist, but if you really care about a certain specification, then let me know and I will accommodate you. I generally always draw commissions on a 300 DPI canvas or whatever, though.▪ I work on my orders one at a time, in order of age (oldest first). I will always message you to let you know where you are in my queue (you can check my trello as well), and I will always update you when you move up in the queue or become my current worked-on order.▪ My turnout times can vary, but generally around two weeks to a month for each order is my normal timeframe for an individual order (being further down in my queue will add to the wait time, of course), but I have gone up to two months before. If anything comes up, I will always let you know. You are also free to message me and ask about the status of your order at any point, just please be polite and don't send too many messages too close together (once around every two weeks is a safe margin, just to give me time).▪ If you need your order done by a deadline (birthday, anniversary, etc), please let me know! I will expedite in these circumstances, I just ask that you give me a reasonable amount of time and not lie about a deadline to me just to get your order faster. If you lie to me about this and I find out, I will blacklist you.▪ I'm very likely to post your order on my profiles and use it as a commission example unless you ask me to keep it totally private. Make sure to specify if this matters to you.▪ You are free to edit your order for icons or other personal graphics as you wish, I just ask that you make sure to credit me as it helps me find more customers (and is the courteous thing to do).▪ Under no circumstances can you claim my work as your own, even if you paid for it. You will be blacklisted if you do this.

PERSONAL TERMS & CONSIDERATIONS

▪ I usually do not do commission work on Saturdays and Sundays as a form of burnout & injury prevention.▪ I ask that you be understanding of my specific personal issues. I have ADHD that I no longer take a prescription for due to personal reasons, so I can be forgetful of messages, details, updating my trello, etc, and similarly it can affect wait times along with some of my other mental health problems due to other symptoms. TLDR I am a person with pretty prominent developmental issues & mental illness, and I don't take any meds for it, so it can & does get in the way sometimes. Again though, I will always be transparent with you about any issues I'm having with regard to your order. I do not like to leave anyone in the dark.▪ I have had a past wrist injury and my wrist in general is kind of weak, sometimes I have to rest for a while and not draw much just so I don't risk injuring myself further.▪ You are paying me to do a job, not to be your friend. I try to be a polite and cordial person, I don't want to come across as a cold corporate presence and I would like you to feel comfortable communicating with me, but our relationship is still purely business within the context of commission work and I ask that you respect that boundary.

PRICE MODIFIERS

  • fees: you will have to pay the paypal/ko-fi fees. all starting prices are without fees. fees are included already on ko-fi, and i will add it to your quote if ordering via paypal.

  • lineless: estimates are +$5 (flat color), +$10 (basic cel-shading), +$20 (fully rendered), +$50 (for full scenes with a background). expect a lot of variation.

  • extra character: price is doubled, with few exceptions.

  • complex design element: case-by-case, can vary a lot. expect to pay at least an extra $10 minimum, though.

Icon

STARTING PRICE:
Solo: $55 USD
Matching Icons: $110 USD

▪ Will have a simple patterned background, typically, or whatever I think looks best. If you want something specific as the basic background element (color, pattern, etc) then please let me know beforehand.

Chibi

STARTING PRICE:

Basic illustration of a character (or multiple) in a chibi style.

▪ Only available with shading.
▪ Double price for a second character.
▪ +$10 for complex design.
▪ Sent to you as a transparent PNG, you will have to add your own background if desired.

Bust

Experimental illustration of a character (or multiple) in whatever way I feel like, unless specified.If there is a specific non-standard piece of mine that you'd like me to emulate the style of for your order, let me know, and don't be afraid to ask about it.Experimental commissions will not necessarily be "weird;" they might look sort-of similar to my other options. They might be more or less detailed than some of my examples. it just depends on what I feel like doing or experimenting with at the time! They will never fully or primarily resemble one of my standard options, though.

Character Design

STARTING PRICE:
$100 USD

A simple cel-shaded illustration of a character that I designed for you. (not all examples are cel-shaded, they're just meant to show you my designs)

▪ Can be coupled with my "reference sheet" option if you wish, but you will have to pay the price for a reference sheet as well. You will also receive two separate images in this case.
▪ Price increase for complex design, case-by-case basis.
▪ Will be sent to you as a transparent PNG.

Full Scene

Fully illustrated scene featuring a character (or multiple). Background required.Since these are complex and involved pieces, I will require you to at least send me background reference images. I highly encourage you to specifically send me a mockup sketch of what you have in mind, but it's fine if you just send me 3rd party references. I also will need you to tell me what sort of color palette you're looking for, if not outright sending me one yourself.Please be open to communicating with me on these orders more than you might for my other options, and understand that the wait time will probably be quite a bit longer than usual.

Reference Sheet

STARTING PRICE:
$220 USD

Full reference sheet of a character of your choice. Flat color only. Will by default include a full body 3/4ths front and back view, a close-up bust, color swatches, and the character's name in my handwriting. If non-human, it will also include front & back views of the character's pelt pattern/coloration.This is a very customizable option! I'll add basically any essential detail to it for an additional price.Please be open to communicating with me on these orders more than you might for my other options, and understand that the wait time will probably be quite a bit longer than usual.

▪ You can couple this with my "character design" option, but it will add the cost of a character design to the ref sheet price. You will also receive two separate images in this case.
▪ Any additional specific elements will add a price increase.
▪ I will not draw full nudity as per my "won't draw" list. However, I'm okay with drawing "naked" furry/anthro non-human characters so long as they don't have visible genitalia, as is common with many cartoon animals...

Traditional Character Illustration

BASIC INFO:

  • Any platform fees (Ko-fi, Paypal) are calculated into the base price of the adopt.

  • Personal use only. If you're interested in purchasing my design for commercial purposes, please e-mail me ([email protected]) and we can discuss specifics.

  • Any resemblance to designs by other artists is entirely coincidental.

  • After purchasing, you'll get an unwatermarked version of your adopt, with background and transparent.

  • Any potential extra artwork you can receive will be specified with the specific adopt.

  • If you use toyhouse, please credit me under wolfrayetlaw! Mostly just because I'd like to keep up with my designs out of curiosity. Here's my profile link.

WITH MY DESIGNS, YOU CAN:

  • trade or gift with/to other people freely.

  • resell, but please do not upcharge unless the design has new art/etc to go with it.

  • change any aspect of the design that you'd like. simplify it, change colors, etc.

WITH MY DESIGNS, YOU CANNOT:

  • claim as your own design, remove my signature from my artwork, etc. please just have basic respect for my work.

  • use for NFTs, machine learning, etc.
