Resumen: En las Cortes Generales de Monzón, del día 24 de noviembre de 1585, se leyó una súplica dirigida por escrito de parte del conjunto de los habitantes de los Valles de Andorra representados por un Síndico, en la que se solicitaba el restablecimiento de un antiguo privilegio que había dejado de cumplirse. Violence against women persists globally, transcending intersecting backgrounds, such as race, gender, socioeconomic status, education, and ableness. The reality remains that women across diverse intersections continue to endure various forms of violence. According to a nationwide study, 30 % of women experience intimate partner violence during their lifetime in Mongolia. The present research adopts an intersectional lens to comprehensively address the survival experiences of Mongolian women who had lived through intimate partner violence. In-depth semi-structured interviews were conducted with 21 participants recruited through purposive sampling, most of whom had ended a relationship involving intimate partner violence. Thematic analysis was used to identify patterns and themes among survival experiences. Although women's experiences varied, intimate partner violence confronted them with the dilemma of maintaining or going against traditional values, including family unity when seeking protection (and safety) for themselves and their children. The women's survival experiences included a combination of building a sense of community and rebuilding a sense of self, while selfcontentment was achieved when the women ceased to blame themselves. This study highlights a critical shift in mindset and behavior by investigating the survival experiences of women who defy social norms, prioritizing family unity over personal well-being. Recognition of survivors' efforts to cease self-blame and seek support signifies a crucial advancement in the survival process. The findings suggest a positive trend toward selfempowerment and a willingness to access the necessary resources and support systems. From a practical standpoint, these findings advocate for strengthening current interventions that empower survivors to challenge norms, cease self-blame, and actively seek assistance.

The Huelva coastline is defined by a wide seaside of pleasant beaches with numerous river mouths that form landscapes of marshes and estuaries that, historically, have shaped the historic settlement. The evolution of the coastal forest masses of Huelva throughout the Holocene reflects the intense relations between man/environment since 3000 BP. The pine forest, Pinus pinea, is the protagonist of the coastal landscapes, while, inside, the forest masses suffered continuous processes of deforestation, reaching their disappearance in the areas with the greatest agricultural potential. In addition, this coast was an important source of economic resources, as in the case of fisheries in ancient times, as well as a coastline connected to the most important commercial circuits, thanks to among other activities, to the export of the mining wealth of its inside. Proof of this is the important heritage that it possesses and that configures a rich, diverse cultural landscape with material testimonies of various kinds, archaeological sites, port structures, defensive elements, industrial docks and so.

Abstract:This photoessaybrings into focus the interaction of equines and humans in two municipalities of the Greater Curitiba. It is the result of several decades of research, dating back to the 1990s, a longitudinal angle that allowed the researcher to perceive the drastic retraction of equine presence within the capital (driven by the municipal law that in 2015 banned the use of animal traction within its geographic limits), contrasting with equine presence in the ‘border zones’ of the capital, where urban peripheries and outlying municipalities meet. It is these other spaces that continue as repositories of a way of life that the expansion of the capital, in its hygienist eagerness, puts to rest. In the regions where city limits meet bordering municipalities, amidst a smattering of differences that mixes remaining bits of countryside and already highly urbanized areas, humans and horses continue their coexistence, sometimes intense, other times merely taken for granted. Using photography to document this interaction means intent observation of the fabric of this everyday interaction –the material, the corporeal, the affective and the sensitive, part of a story about the occupation of spaces, ways of life, choices and power.
