In Gaza, we’re born with the wit to master Advanced Drone Escape 101 and How to Breathe Through Dust 202. By the time this war began, I was already a seasoned student. I had passed the tests five times already, miraculously surviving five destructive wars in just 25 years. So I was familiar with the drill: grab your documents, your children and whatever food you can carry, and run. But knowing the drill doesn’t make it easier. It doesn’t stop your hands from shaking as you pack your son’s backpack with diapers and water bottles instead of toys. It doesn’t stop your heart from pounding as you count the seconds between the whistle of a bomb and the impact, as you wonder if this will be the one that finds you. The first days were a blur of noise and chaos. The smell of burning flesh poured down the streets, and the sound of drones buzzed overhead around the clock. And the dust — God, the dust. It coated everything, It turned the world into a monochrome nightmare. I would wake up with it in my mouth, in my hair, in my lungs. It was everywhere. I remember wiping it off my son’s face, his wide eyes staring up at me. “This is not the world I wanted for you,” I would say.

Signatories to this report include AIDA members and members of other regional coordination networks. Suleiman built a small one-room shelter for his family using the rubble of his house, which was bombed in August 2014. 'This was the only solution for us. Life is getting even more unbearable. We are hoping for one thing: reconstruction. But honestly, I don't know if I should keep In 2014, after unprecedented destruction and suffering in Gaza, international donors pledged $3.5bn and a change in approach. Six months later, reconstruction and recovery have barely begun, there has been no accountability for violations of international law, and Gaza remains cut off from the West Bank. This paper outlines an achievable course of action to address the root causes of the recurrent conflict and put international engagement with Gaza on the right course.

I will upload versions here only periodically. <documented updated on June 18, 2024> I, Lee Mordechai, a historian and an Israeli citizen, bear witness in this document, as events are unfolding, to the horrible situation in the Gaza Strip. I write my personal opinion out of a sense of double responsibility: as a citizen whose country is committing what I consider as grave crimes, and as an academic, who believes that after having dedicated my career so far to research and teaching others I am obliged to speak up against injustice, especially when it is so close. I write also because of the disappointing general silence on this issue among many international and Israeli academic institutions, especially those that are well-positioned to comment on it. The relatively few of my colleagues who have bravely spoken out have been an inspiration. I do not believe this document will convince many others to change their minds. Rather, I write this publicly to testify that during the war there were and remain Israeli voices who strongly dissented from Israel’s actions.

The longer it takes to arrive at a political solution to the Palestinian dilemma, the more likely this rudderless and negative spiral of war and revenge will maintain the conditions for a ceaseless fight.
The editors of this remarkable collection ask, 'After the smoke clears, who will remember the dead?' Their answer, and that of their dozens of writers, poets, journalists, and analysts, is "We will." We, they said, Palestinians of Gaza who survived the slaughter, we Palestinians from elsewhere in Palestine and refugees in far-flung exile, we allies and friends from around the world, we will not let the world forget. During the 50 days of Israel's 2014 assault on Gaza, Tel Aviv's best efforts to keep the world in the dark and to keep the West believing the lie of self-defense, all failed. They failed because Palestinians did not all die, and those who lived were determined to tell their story in their own voices: their poetry, their memories, and their children. This extraordinary book joins the narrative of Palestine's witness-of oppression, brutality, and death, but also of life reaffirmed and resistance reclaimed."-PHYLLIS BENNIS Institute for Policy Studies "Readers will find this rich anthology highly informative, evocative, and inspirational. They will find in it culture, creativity, and commitment. And they will also find it painful, emotional, and overpowering, such is the unremitting cruelty with which Palestinians are treated. But read it they must.... It enables us to communicate, even more powerfully, why justice is needed and needed now, and why Israel must be brought to justice. If any book is a must-read by the Prosecutor and judges at the International Criminal Court, this book is it."-NADIA HIJAB Executive Director, Al-Shabaka: The Palestinian Policy Network "Gaza Unsilenced is an outstanding collection of short essays that discuss different aspects of Israel's murderous assault on Gaza in the summer of 2014. Given the ability of Israel and its American defenders to propagandize and distort the historical record, it is imperative that books like this be published and widely read. Israel cannot be allowed to create a false history about the horrors it has inflicted on the people of Gaza and the Palestinians more generally."-JOHN J. MEARSHEIMER R. Wendell Harrison Distinguished Service Professor of Political Science, University of Chicago "Israel takes the hammer to Gaza, but it cannot snuff out Palestinian voices. These continue to testify to the inhumanity of the Israeli occupation. There are also silences-the book ends with a list of the names of those killed in Israel's 2014 bombing of Gaza, human beings who cannot tell us their stories. This book tries to fill that gap."-VIJAY PRASHAD Editor, Letters to Palestine: Writers Respond to War and Occupation Just World Books exists to expand the discourse in the United States and worldwide on issues of vital international concern. We are committed to building a more just, equitable, and peaceable world. We uphold the equality of all human persons. The corporate media has largely ignored the brutal chronology of events in Gaza and the horrific living conditions in Gaza that have gradually intensified since Israel officially left the territory in 2005. While the reasons for such blinkered journalism are beyond the scope of this article; I will offer an idea for the reader’s consideration: “…the imperial mentality is so deeply embedded in Western culture that this travesty passes without criticism, even notice.” (Chomsky & Pappe: 2010.) Considering the current state of affairs in Gaza; this absence of depth and context creates the false impression that Palestinians are innately violent and self-destructive.
At the end the two weary combatants found each other soft spot and directed their blows yonder. Hamas, who found his long range rockets successfully blocked by Israeli anti missile systems, increased his mortar and short range missiles attacks on Israeli Kibutzim, villages and towns scattered around Gaza border, directing the daily dose ( around 150 rounds ) on one of them to maximise it's impact. These attacks , currently immune from any active defensive measure, brought the population there to the brink of despair which echoed well on Israeli television screens. Israeli government found it impossible to continue it's wise attrition strategy against a stubborn yet isolated and badly damaged opponent , cut from military supplies and having to rely on Israel humanitarian supplies to provide for need of the population under his control. Israel , on the other side, found that out of the thousands building destroyed or damaged thorough the 50 days violent conflict, Hamas and Gaza population were most sensitive to the destruction of high rise buildings ( 10 to 20 stories high ). Israel directed it's attacks on these buildings and it seems that the trauma of watching collapsing towers was too much for Hamas and he accepted an unlimited unconditional cease fire that will be followed by discussions in Cairo a month later. Many in Israel ask themselves why the army did not pick this strategy earlier. Throughout the conflict one had the feeling that parts of Gaza were immune from bombings and it turned out that once this immunity was lifted ,Hamas hurried to a cease fire.

Introduction to a book about the global event of the war between The Zionist entity and Gaza: In the annals of contemporary history, few conflicts have stirred the collective consciousness of the world as profoundly as the war between The Zionist entity and Gaza. This riveting saga, marked by its complex geopolitical underpinnings and the human tragedy that unfolded on the ground, transcended regional boundaries to become a global focal point. The clash, which erupted between the formidable The Zionist entity military and the resilient forces in Gaza, captured the attention and emotions of people worldwide, prompting a reevaluation of political alliances, moral stances, and the very foundations of international relations. The intricate dynamics of the conflict defy easy characterization, weaving a tapestry of historical grievances, political ambitions, and the enduring struggle for self-determination. This book seeks to unravel the multifaceted layers of this global event, delving into the historical context, the socio-political ramifications, and the human stories that emerged from the heart of the battlefield. From the bustling streets of Gaza to the corridors of power in The Zionist entity and the international responses that reverberated across the globe, the narrative unfolds with the intent of providing 8 a comprehensive understanding of a conflict that resonated far beyond its geographic boundaries. As we embark on this exploration, it is essential to approach the subject with a nuanced perspective, recognizing the complexities inherent in the Zionist entity-Gaza conflict. This is not merely a tale of military strategies and geopolitical maneuvering but a profound examination of the lives affected, the aspirations dashed, and the implications for global peace and security. Through meticulous research, firsthand accounts, and a commitment to presenting diverse viewpoints, this book aims to offer readers a comprehensive and unbiased analysis of the events that unfolded during this tumultuous period. By shedding light on the historical antecedents, the immediate triggers, and the aftermath of the conflict, we hope to contribute to a deeper understanding of a war that left an indelible mark on the collective consciousness of humanity. As we turn the pages of this book, let us embark on a journey to comprehend the profound impact of the Zionist entity-Gaza conflict on the world stage — a conflict that, beyond its regional ramifications, forced the global community to confront enduring questions about justice, sovereignty, and the pursuit of lasting peace in a troubled world

The impending famine in Gaza is the result of deliberate, conscious, informed choices, and nobody in the Israeli or American governments can be in any doubt as to where they are leading. We are on the threshold of a ‘final solution’ to the Palestinian problem. Ladies and gentlemen, this way for your ambient genocide.
Western institutions and leaders lining up to continue supporting the Israeli oppression; Israel as a bastard "child" of the West; A brief history of the hypocrisy and wickedness of the West; From Western civilization to Western un-civilization; Muslims should boycott Western un-civilization in the form of bad ideas and inappropriate values) One of the outcomes of the ongoing Gaza tragedy is that masks are falling off. The events are revelatory. Now is the time to clearly see who is who and what is what in the grand scheme of things, both domestically and internationally. Gaza-and the Palestinian case in general-was doing this for quite some time, however this time the situation is different. The current episode signifies the climax of a process. Gaza has become like a furnace which detects and isolates the impurities of iron (in Gaza's case, hypocrites and out-and-out evil persons are revealed and shamed), and separates as well as purifies the iron (in Gaza's case, good persons are not only revealed, but also thrust into the spotlight and further elevated as much on earth as in heaven). That being said, one cannot help remembering the Prophet's words about the city of Madinah, which since its inception functioned as a microcosm of the Islamic message and civilization, that "Madinah is like a furnace, it expels out the impurities (bad persons) and selects the good ones and makes them perfect" (Sahih al-Bukhari). The unfolding tragedy is accompanied by all sorts of political, media and even pop culture bedlams. Everyone wants to assert his case and be heard. All are eager to have a slice of the cake, so to speak. Noice is deafening-just as silence and indifference have been prior to the tragedy-distractions unnerving and narratives never-ending. The condition is meant to muddle the plain truth which is-even though the unbelievers and political criminals may dislike it-that there is a bloodthirsty usurper and oppressor inaugurated and sustained by the protagonists of the prevalent devilish world order, on the one hand, and a victim who for almost a century has been denied any degree of freedom and humanity either to be generated internally or conferred from outside, on the other. Thus, people should not be distracted by the number, sizes and shapes of the masks, or by how and where they have fallen, but instead should focus on who and what has been uncovered and how to deal with the new realities and their central characters. Some new discoveries may be surprising, yet shocking, rescinding earlier realizations and perspectives. At any rate, the truth remains that every so often it is not the people who change, it is their masks that fall off. For that reason is it rightly said that a wolf can change his coat but not his character. Western institutions and leaders lining up to continue supporting the Israeli oppression The side that is exposed the most, because the dramatic developments forced it to throw off its last mask(s), is the West. That the West was hypocritical, wicked and immoral was a common knowledge, but that its vileness was at rock bottom, institutionalized and assertively proselytized (evangelized) was an eye-opener, so much so that its ostensibly championed Western values, such as freedom of speech, freedom of belief, equal access to opportunities, justice and objectivity, are blatantly cast aside.
