Karl Marx's Labor Theory of Value (LTV) has been subject to numerous criticisms since its formulation. This theory holds that the value of a commodity is determined by the socially necessary labor time required for its production. Here, a detailed defense of the LTV is presented against contemporary criticisms, using formal logic, empirical evidence, and references to recent studies.

Pemantau Pemilu adalah lembaga swadaya masyarakat, badan hukum, lembaga pemantau dari luar negeri, lembaga pemilihan luar negeri, dan perwakilan negara sahabat di Indonesia, serta perseorangan yang mendaftar kepada Bawaslu dan telah memperoleh akreditasi dari Bawaslu untuk melakukan kegiatan pemantauan dalam pelaksanaan tahapan penyelenggaraan pemilu. Berdasarkan Pasal 435-447 UU Nomor 7 Tahun 2017 tentang Pemilihan Umum, Pemantau Pemilu harus memenuhi syarat untuk bersifat independen, mempunyai sumber dana yang jelas dan teregistrasi serta memperoleh izin dari Bawaslu, Bawaslu Provinsi, atau Bawaslu Kabupaten/Kota sesuai dengan cakupan wilayah pemantauannya. Khusus pemantau dari luar negeri ditambah memenuhi persyaratan mempunyai kompetensi dan pengalaman sebagai pemantau Pemilu di negara lain, memperoleh visa untuk menjadi pemantau pemilu dari perwakilan Republik Indonesia di luar negeri dan memenuhi tata cara melakukan pemantauan sesuai dengan ketentuan peraturan perundang-undangan. Pengawasan partisipatif pemilu oleh lembaga pemantau pemilu diharapkan mampu mewujudkan pemilu yang berintegritas dan tepercaya. Bawaslu menerbitkan Peraturan Bawaslu Nomor 4 tahun 2018 tentang Pemantauan Pemilihan Umum untuk menjadi pedoman teknis dan prosedur bagi perseorangan dan lembaga yang akan melakukan pemantauan Pemilu tahun 2019. Bawaslu telah memverifikasi dan memberikan akreditasi sebagai Pemantau Pemilu 2019 terakreditasi kepada sedikitnya 51 lembaga organisasi. Hingga 25 Maret 2019, Bawaslu telah memberikat sertifikat kepada 49 lembaga pemantau pemilu dalam negeri dan 2 (dua) lembaga pemantau pemilu luar negeri. Selain 51 lembaga pemantau pemilu yang telah terakreditasi tersebut, saat ini Bawaslu juga sedang memverifikasi berkas administrasi yang diajukan oleh enam lembaga. Antireflection coatings (ARCs) have become one of the key issues for mass production of Si solar cells. They are generally performed by vacuum processes such as thermal evaporation, reactive sputtering, and plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition. In this work, a sol-gel method has been demonstrated to prepare the ARCs for the non-textured monocrystalline Si solar cells. The spincoated TiO 2 single-layer, SiO 2 /TiO 2 double-layer and SiO 2 /SiO 2-TiO 2 /TiO 2 triple-layer ARCs were deposited on the Si solar cells and they showed good uniformity in thickness. The measured average optical reflectance (400-1000 nm) was about 9.3, 6.2 and 3.2% for the single-layer, double-layer and triple-layer ARCs, respectively. Good correlation between theoretical and experimental data was obtained. Under a triple-layer ARC condition, a 39% improvement in the efficiency of the monocrystalline Si solar cell was achieved. These indicate that the sol-gel ARC process has high potential for low-cost solar cell fabrication.

MicroCT visualisations of organic inclusions within pottery sherds from Khashm el Girba 23 (KG23), Sudan, reveal domesticated sorghum (Sorghum bicolor subsp. bicolor) at c. 3700-2900 BCE. The percentage of non-shattering spikelet bases was c. 73% of identifiable visualizations, with c. 27% representing wild types. These analyses demonstrate the domestication of sorghum is significantly earlier than suggested by previous archaeological research. These results also demonstrate that microCT scanning is a major qualitative and quantitative advance on pre-existing methods for the investigation of crop remains in pottery sherds, which hitherto have been reliant on surface impressions; it is non-destructive, provides higher resolution 3D imaging of organic inclusions , and enables greater archaeobotanical recovery of inclusions within a sherd. MicroCT analysis of ceramics , mudbrick and other building materials has considerable potential for improving the chronologies and resolution for the domestication of other cereals in the past.

Both political leaders and the majority of intellectuals in China want to present the image of a responsible country to the world. Their understanding of being responsible is not directed at an external audience, although they closely watch what the latter expects from China. In the global age, the expectation is always about China's contribution to the resolution, and the alleviation and prevention of external global problems, whatever these may be. The Chinese cultural and ideological background is so introspective that Chinese narratives on their nation's duty in the world predominantly point to China's internal responsibility for handling its own domestic problems well enough to avoid causing global troubles. There has been a deep and mutual misperception between internally oriented Chinese narrators and China's externally oriented critics. For the Chinese elite, China has no intention to lead the world, to provide the world with any philosophical guidance regarding its future, or even to participate in initiating problem-solving regimes. The Chinese care more about global relationships than global governance. Specifically, the Chinese want to make sure that global governance does not infringe upon the national sovereignty of China. This defensive mentality should explain China's unique style of global governance through self-governance, a style practically meant to avoid rendering any excuse for other major powers seeking opportunities to intervene in China.
