Pranic healing is a highly developed and tested system of energy based healing techniques that utilizes \"Prana\" to balance harmonize and transform the body\'s energy processes. \"Prana\" is a Sanskrit word that means \"Life-force\" This invisible bio-energy or vital energy keeps the body alive and maintains a state of good health. In acupuncture, the Chinese refer to this subtle energy as \"Chi\". It is also called \"Ruah\" or the \"Breath of life\" in the old testament. Pranic healing is a simple yet powerful and effective no touch energy healing. It is based on the fundamental principle that the body is a \"Self-repairing\" living entity that possesses the innate ability to heal itself. Pranic healing works on the principle that the healing process is accelerated by increasing the life force or vital energy on the affected part of the physical body. Pranic healing influences this natural life force to being about a healthier physical body. Pranic healing is applied on the bio-electromagnetic field known as the aura, which contains the mold and blueprint of the physical body. This bioplasmic body absorbs life energy and distributes it to the organs and glands. Disease first appear as energetic disruption in the energy field before manifesting as ailments in the physical body. With all diseases including cancer the first objective is to understand that the cause is thoughts one\'s own guilt or harmful thoughts and feeling created by one\'s upon himself. To heal from cancer one must fully cleanse the physical, emotional and mental layers of body system.

Prana is the driving and organizing force of the entire universe, and essential for survival. It can be experimental and experiential. This is a retrospective analysis of the pranic energy perception data collected for an exploratory study conducted in 2014 using the convenience sampling method. This paper describes the experiences of 100 participants during a hand sensitization practice. Participants were guided to feel the prana between their hands according to prescribed steps in the pranic healing technique, taught by Master Choa Kok Sui. The experiences reported by participants were analyzed by three independent judges and one expert using the qualitative content analysis technique introduced by Strauss and Corbin. Responses were first grouped according to nine elements. These elements were categorized under four major properties-positive experience, experience of awareness, energy experience, and feedback on the study program. These properties were further divided into two categories-experiences and feedback-based on the theme they cover. Participants experienced various sensations, which demonstrates that energy can be felt, and can benefit one's affective and physical state. Because of this qualitative content analysis, we have a better understanding of the various ways people perceive, experience, and benefit from pranic energy experiences.
Prana is a Sanskrit word constructed of the syllables Pra and an. 'An' means movement and 'Pra' is a prefix meaning constant. Therefore, Prana means constant motion. According to yoga, Prana is supposed to originate in pingalanadi. Within the framework of the spinal cord, there are three channels known as nadis in yoga. Prana is typically divided into multiple constituent parts, in particular 5 subtypes when concerned with human body Prāṇāyāma derives from the Sanskrit words Prāṇa and Ayāma.It means to control the uncontrolled Prana by breathing technique.

Reiki, Therapeutic Touch, Applied Kinesiology, Bach flower remedies, healing with crystals, the colour therapy Aura-Soma, and Pranic Healing—the subject theme of this paper—may be counted as “classics” among the plethora of present-day energetic techniques. Arguably, Reiki was the trailblazer in the field as it prepared the social and ideological ground for several other practices that followed suit. In Reiki’s slip-stream, Pranic Healing succeeded within a decade to achieve a considerable degree of prominence, forming an integral part of the first wave of energetic techniques to gain traction in Austria during the 1990s. Pranic Healing provides an illustrative case study since it represents a vast number of practices that allude to a perennial healing wisdom of the “East,” whereas their major roots can be found in relatively recent Euro-American traditions that evolved into transcultural, globalised hybrids as shall be further elaborated here. The present paper attempts to explore the origins and evolution of Pranic Healing by means of historical discourse analysis and to reconstruct its arrival and establishment in Austria. Section 2 sketches the Wirkungsgeschichte of mesmerism, a major progenitor of present-day subtle energy-based techniques that was developed in Vienna by the charismatic physician Franz Anton Mesmer. Disputed and finally rejected by the contemporaneous medical establishment, mesmeric practices found a fertile ground in the religio-therapeutic and alternative medical milieus especially of the American and European nineteenth century, inspiring the emergence of various alternative therapies, some of which are still widely practiced today. Section 3 explores the interpretations of mesmerism in the context of occult literature in the decades around 1900. In this regard, two major hermeneutic frameworks were crucial: the appeal to ether physics, and the appeal to an ancient, Eastern wisdom tradition. Reading mesmerism in light of occult orientalism would fuse the magnetic healing agent with a vital principle referred to as prāṇa,19 eventually leading to a hybrid system known as “Pranic Healing.” In its basic features, this system would sow the seeds for Choa Kok Sui’s healing movement, which section 4 elucidates in its historical, doctrinal, and ritual dimensions, with a spotlight on its Austrian protagonists. As will be shown, Austria’s role in exporting Pranic Healing to Central and Eastern Europe has been pivotal, which once more accentuates the country’s status as a nodal point in the globalised discourse on energy healing.

Mastering physical balance is the cornerstone to success in sports or gymnastics. However mastering this physical balance is better attained through proper understanding of the vital force called prāña the vital energy that permeates the whole body. The Yogasūtras of Patanjali are the fountainhead of the Indian wisdom that teach us how to attain the state of equipoise and equanimity in all the dimensions of human identity -the physical, mental and spiritual planes and thereby attain the summon bonum of human life - the self realization. They lay an array of disciplines for the whole human persona -starting from the vows to lead a focused and determined life to physical discipline to disciplining the prāña and to mastering the mind through unswerving focus. This paper examines the significance of prāña, the vital energy in gaining the balance - physical as well as mental.

Background and purpose: WHO supports the implementation of complementary therapy services in health facilities to increase comprehensive health services coverage. Sanglah Hospital is developing the pranic healing service as part of the development of Indonesia's medical tourism and traditional health. This study aims to determine the extent to which the feasibility, obstacles, challenges, and opportunities of the pranic healing service implemented at Sanglah Hospital. Methods: This study employed a mixed-methods design with a case study approach. The data were collected from March to April 2020 using in-depth interview with 23 informants by collecting information on acceptance, readiness, requests, and service management. Documents and archival records were also collected. The survey data were collected using a selfadministered questionnaire from 40 respondents by collecting information on patients' requests and acceptance aspects. The qualitative data analysis was performed thematically and presented in a narrative form. The survey data were analyzed using univariate analysis. Results: The pranic healing service received support from the Ministry of Health and the hospital management, had a good acceptance from health workers and patients, was the only complementary service of its kind in health facilities throughout Indonesia and had the potential for the development of medical tourism. Obstacles and challenges found were related to workforce management, regulatory readiness, referral systems, and the development of inpatient services. Conclusion: Pranic healing service could be implemented at Sanglah Hospital because they had substantial support and because of demand and acceptance aspects. However, obstacles and challenges on the implementation and practicality aspects should be overcome for the sustainability of this service. The pranic healing has a good potency since to date, it is the only one available in Indonesia which is also potential for the development of medical tourism.
