Rizalistas form a significant part of the Philippine history as they start a religious movement to revere Rizal’s heroism as their founder and God. Their strong connection led to a stronger foundation. They have built homes within the vicinity of the Rizal Park in New Jerusalem, Barangay Talisay. This research project explored the language of immortalizing Jose Rizal using a qualitative-descriptive design, data were analyzed through themes. Key informant interviews, focus group discussions and mapping/landscaping of the Rizal Shrine through photographs were also undertaken to gather a supplemental data. The participants of the study were members of the Rizalistas in Dapitan. They were either official members, or self-proclaimed Rizalistas aged 20-75 years old, residents of Barangay Talisay and speaking the vernacular. Other Rizalistas are not born as ‘Rizalistas’ as they inherit the ‘being Rizalista’ from their parents, old Rizalistas witnessed the healing power of Rizal to the Dapitanons in the past, and so willingly followed him as his own disciples. Young Rizalistas were convinced of Rizal’s heroism and words of their parents and consecrately followed the commandments. The head of the temple is a king and they worship the successors of the previous kings “kings”. Rizalistas adhere to the words printed in “Nunc Me Tangere”. Although most of them were Catholic, they call themselves members of the Kingdom of God. The way to join and connect with other Rizalistas is through dreams where Rizal appears and summons someone to do his will, the radio where Rizalistas tell the news to people and send updates to the rest, and the illness where the power of Rizal is seen through healing those who are impossible to heal. Rizal is a spirit that summons his followers, and Rizal is their God.
