The purpose of the current study was to conduct a longitudinal test of the moderating effect of both job control and social support on the relation between job demands and burnout in human service work. To adapt the study to human service work, quantitative as well as emotional demands were examined. A longitudinal survey with a 1-year time interval yielded a panel group encompassing 2,255 employees from the Social Insurance Organization in Sweden. Hierarchical regression analyses were used, controlling for demographic variables and the related dependent variable at Time 1. The analyses were conducted for quantitative and emotional demands separately and revealed main effects. Slightly more main effects were found for emotional demands. In addition, 1 interaction effect was found between emotional demands and job control with regard to emotional exhaustion. In
Trichomonas vaginalis is a parasite of the urogenital tract in men and women, with a worldwide presence and significant implications for global public health. T. vaginalis research entered the age of genomics with the publication of the first genome sequence in 2007, yet subsequent utilization of other 'omics' technologies and methods has been slow. Here, we review some of the tools and approaches available to interrogate T. vaginalis biology, with an emphasis on recent advances and current limitations, and draw attention to areas where further efforts are needed to effectively examine the complex and intriguing biology of the parasite.

Agricultural by-products are renewable energy sources from which essential amount of energy can be recovered, which can be used to replace the use of conventional fossil fuel, reduces the potential of greenhouse gas (GHG) emission and at the same time reduces deforestation, especially in rural areas. Energy values of biomass from small Agricultural farms, in particular waste generated from different tropical crops, viz; Maize, Millet, Rice, Sorghum and Groundnut were determined, to ascertain their potentials as alternative fuel sources for rural use. The materials were found to be of importance judging by their combustion potentials in all the forms investigated. The Energy values of the by-products considered ranged between 11.68 MJ kg-1 to 17.48 MJ kg-1 with Groundnut pods and millet husk having the highest and least respectively. Moisture and ash had effect on the energy values of these biomass. Our results are relevant to the problems posed by the management of farm residues in developing countries.
Electric sense (i.e. the ability to detect low-voltage electrical impulses from other individuals) is found in most primitive fish orders, a few derived teleost fish, some aquatic amphibians, the platypus and the echidna. Electric signals (i.e. self-generated electrical signals used for communication) are best understood in the weakly electric fish. Weakly electric fish include three freshwater teleost groups that produce dual-purpose electric signals to locate objects and communicate in the dark. Their electric organ discharges (EODs) are distinctive to species, and often to age, sex, and condition. EODs are non-propagating electrostatic fields, detectable only a few body lengths from the signaler. Electroreceptive predators may eavesdrop, and many weakly electric fish have signal adaptations that make their signals cryptic to predators. EODs are triggered by nerve impulses but their waveform shapes are regulated by steroid and peptide hormones. The electric eel is a specialized electric fish that produces a low voltage EOD for electrolocation and communication and also a high voltage discharge to stun prey and defend itself.

The present generation of imaging atmospheric Cherenkov telescopes (H.E.S.S., MAGIC and VERITAS) has in recent years opened the realm of ground-based gamma ray astronomy for energies above a few tens of GeV. The Cherenkov Telescope Array CTA will explore in depth our Universe in very high energy gamma-rays and investigate cosmic processes leading to relativistic particles, in close cooperation with observatories of other wavelength ranges of the electromagnetic spectrum, and those using cosmic rays and neutrinos.

The centrality dependence of the charged-particle multiplicity density at mid-rapidity in Pb-Pb collisions at √ s NN = 2.76 TeV is presented. The charged-particle density normalized per participating nucleon pair increases by about a factor of two from peripheral (70-80%) to central (0-5%) collisions. The centrality dependence is found to be similar to that observed at lower collision energies. The data are compared with models based on different mechanisms for particle production in nuclear collisions.
kajian estetika media terapan
Abstract The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the visual form in the Oreo ads version " Imagine Me Give Oreo During Ramadhan" on television by using the approach of Applied Media Aesthetics. From the analysis has been done based on contextual visual ads that divides the picture elements of video ads in five elements namely: light and color, the space of two-dimensional, three-dimensional space, time/motion and sound. The Oreo ads version "Imagine Me Give Oreo During Ramadhan" illustrates that the Oreo as a brand is very familiar with the consumers, presenting the moment of Ramadan special by sharing experience the magic and rekindle the spirit of childhood. At the end of the ads is contained scenes show that this Ramadhan version Oreo ads is part of a global advertising campaign that already exists is "Sharing Miracles". In addition, this Ramadhan version Oreo ads is a kind reminder (reminders advertising), aim to inform customers about the existence of Oreo brand still offers characteristics, and the same usage.
