Inspired by never-before-seen sketches by Dr. Seuss, creator Lala Watkins builds a bright and playful story about a worm in this brand-new beginning reader that is the first in the Seuss Studios line of Beginner Books.
Join Norbit the Worm, his friends, and the sun itself as they spend a day doing everything they can think of, from swimming and hiking to blowing bubbles and watching the clouds drift by! By encouraging imaginative play, Hello, Sun! keeps kids entertained as they learn to read.
Seuss Studios is a new line of Beginner Books with original stories and art from emerging authors and illustrators. Every Seuss Studios story was inspired by never-before seen sketches from the Dr. Seuss archives, which you can find in the back of each book! Launched by Dr. Seuss in 1957 with the publication of The Cat in the Hat, Beginner Books make learning to read FUN!

Chef Eric Adjepong's book, Sankofa: A Culinary Story of Resilience and Belonging! It's been a joy to draw rich foods and heart-warming characters and showcase pride in being you and embracing your culture. Happy to illustrate it. We also received our first star for it!

What’s more fun than watching animals? With rhyming text, photos of favorite animals, and doodles and drawings by illustrator Lala Watkins, this collaboration with the Smithsonian recreates fun-filled days at Washington DC’s National Zoo in board book form.

Join Little Boo's spook-tacular Halloween party! Things that go "bump" in the night... LOVE to party up a fright! Join the party and discover the magical world of Little Boo's Halloween Party!

A favorite scene in Izmelda the Fairest Dragon of Them All

A dream graphic novel cover idea for a younger audience. Here’s to it coming true.

This is a spread from Bus Stop by Angela H. Dale and illustrated by me. One of my favorites!
A mock cover. If I made an art novelty book with a collection of my work and words for young adults—it would look something like this. I am having fun with mock cover ideas for stories.

This was my test for Bus Stop before I received the deal to be on the book. So fun to do!

A set of siblings having fun and the dad getting scolded by mom.

An idea for a children’s book but also an excuse to draw the beach. Done in Adobe Fresco. Had so much fun exploring textures.

Jordan is skeptical and Bethany got distracted by the bunny so it's only you who believes that Mallory.

Experimenting! Mixed media techniques. Painting the girl in parts and combing it together in Photoshop.

With these siblings, being together is the best place to be.

A concept for a story. I love the textures and expressions. “When a Star becomes your friend, you start to shine so bright, follow your dreams, and sometimes take flight.”

Instagram cover illustration for everydayracism_ to discuss the topic of talking to your kids about race. So happy to be a part of something I believe in. Check it out here.
