Working on setting up my sewing room, my sewing corner is smallish so trying to be as organized and compact as possible.
The peg boards are a hard plastic, hooks are painted metal. The adhesive is a long wide strip at top and bottom on the back of each square. (Four square peg boards in the box). It seems to be fairly sturdy.
My new sewing desk is smooth, and is made of that fake wood stuff (so no nails or screws) - I only used the adhesive option. This end of my desk is near the wall, so I'm not concerned with adhesive lightly damaging surfaces, I have no idea if this would or not. I can't say how long it will stay stuck with the weight of the rulers on it, but I love having my quilting rulers neatly hung up and out of sight yet always close at hand!
In retrospect, this only used two peg board squares, so I could have also used 1-2 on the side of my shelf. Oh well.
