  While Jackie Chan has lived a life that most Americans would hardly recognize, much less identify with, his life's story is immediately recognizable as a chronicle of triumph over adversity. I most enjoyed his pervasive sense of humor, his candor, and his self-deprecating attitude. I've always liked his movies, and now I'll like them all the more since I know what it was like for him to become the man he is.
